Cal and WSU are god awful, but the idea that the SEC West was filled with great rush defenses is off the mark. 50% of the division foes he faced have rush defenses ranked outside the top 70. A comparison vs two top tier defenses in the nation, Its also the only comparison you can make between the 2 using top 25 defenses. Otherwise Henrys resume takes another nmassive jump over McCaffery. He played more top 25s too. in different conference. Makes A lot more sense than claiming Henry isn't on a whole other level from McCaffery. SEC defenses and PAC defenses are not even comparable. If that was the list of top defenses Biever faced than SC was awful this year

It's very much a team award and is greatly impacted by things such as media hype, your teammates and other factors outside of how good you really are.
