Im just providing stats you have to admit its an extremely interesting debate on the record. Im wondering if this has even been pointed out anywhere else yet
Yeah, I don't really care about the record too much. Whether it's legit or not doesn't take away from his season.

At this point i don't even care about the heisman argument. the question as to whether or not Sanders record can be considered broken is a far more interesting topic. IMO considering that record broken is watering down college football history

That's cool but it's kinda the reason for the thread. His breaking not breaking the record is just one of the arguments which is stupid IMO because the fact that he's even close or broke it shows the kinda player he is.

Made a thread for it. Im interested in the opinions and the votes based on the stats and number of games played :thumb:

None of which have playe against better competition defensively and preformed better.

Well it's not hard to hold teams like Florida , Arky, Vandy, Mizzou, Kentucky to a few points and yards...

But that will be for NFL scouts to decide...most scouting reports have him listed 2-3 RB taken in the draft.

Great point. There have been tons of volume backs who have had better seasons. Hell, two years ago the nation's leader in rushing yards was Andre Williams from BC. 2177 yards with 18 TDs. I don't believe he even made it to NY, and he was by no means considered the best RB in the nation. Same with Ka'Deem Carey in 2012, LaMichael James in 2010, and probably the best comparison is Toby Gerhart in 2009 (1871 yards, 5.5 YPC, 27(!) TDs).

Yeah ...I am not knocking him as a RB but to say he is a clear cut choice for Heisman or best RB...

So how many all time college records did Henry break or come within one game from breaking? How many Heisman invited players broke or came one game away from breaking all time records? Since that seems to be the bar now.

He broke Walker's record on about 50 less carries.

Why is he going to New York?
Bagels with cream cheese, nova, capers, tomato, and shaved onion.
Hot pastrami on rye.
Pizza.
DUH!

But did he play more games? Apparently that's what really matters...
