oh I'm caught up and this is a very valid point. McCaffery already played one extra game oklahoma state only played 11 regular season games. Stanford played 12. Then yapper taking on another game with the CCG. Box scores for bowl games are hard to find for 1988. So how is it considered breaking a record when you have 2 extra games. One of which being a cog where the "record" was broken?

I'm wondering why its so hard to find a box score from 1988 to get a clear comparison between the 2 based on 12 games. All i can find is Sanders rushing records but thats leaving receiving and return yards out for that game
