Fact, if Henry was from the West Coast this would be the largest margin of victory just like Mariota was last year.

Hell with has total yards and YPC he wouldn't even be a top 5 candidate if he were a west coast kid.

I think you are highly overestimating how good the SEC is this year.
Go look up defensie stats, numbers don't lie about Alabama's schedule, not just talking SEC. Bama playe against 5 good defenses Henry ran for an average of 158 yards and 1.8 td's while Mccaffery had one game and ran for a whopping 60 some yards. #HeismanNumbers
Half of the season he did not score a point in his games in the PAC 12. What are the excuses?

And there are no good offenses in the SEC outside Alabama and LSU. It's the old argument, does the Big12 have great offenses are just bad defenses? Does the SEC have good defenses or does teams like Florida and Missouri just raise up everyone's stats?

I think McCaffrey deserves the recognition he's getting. No small feat to lead the country in all purpose yards.

Not as bad as Big 10 defenses though.

Who's the one good defense you're referring to? Washington has the #12 scoring defense in the country, McCaffrey ran for 109 yards and a TD, and had 112 receiving yards and a TD...

And Stanford used another back in short yardage situations (which they had a lot of), I'm sure he'd have accounted for significantly more touchdowns if he weren't taken out in those situations...

The real question here isn't 'why is he going to new york?' It's 'how big of a bummer will it be when he doesn't win?'

defensive metrics are scewed when u play in a conference filled with shit offenses and pathetic qb play.
Vandy, Florida, Georgia (post Chubb), Missouri, Auburn, South Carolina, all offensive juggernauts this year

Ruddock might be the best QB Florida faces this year. That's not an exaggeration.

Not as bad as Big 10 defenses though.

Explain to me what Henry has done that deserves to be there. McCaffery is far and away the all-purpose yards leader in the PAC. Henry doesnt lead the SEC in yards/game in any stat.

SEC offenses this season were literally the worst they have been in 30 years.

It was not just great SEC defenses by themselves.

There was some good defense, but it had a lot to do with some horrible god awful QBs.

The pac 12 wasn't down as a whole. In fact, I think it was up. There just wasn't a clear playoff worthy team at the top.
Really? I saw all but one team underachieve.
Oregon: Preseason 7, Final 15
USC 8; (inexplicably) 25
UCLA 13; UR
Arizona State 15; UR
Arizona 22; UR

Stanford is the only team that didn't drop substantially from their preseason ranking. Utah did well but fizzled after a hot start. Wazzou was a nice story, but lost to an FCS team, got murdered by a bad Washington team, and got to face Oregon with Lockie and not Adams.

Facing the 104th Rushing rush defense in Texas A&M was easier than anything McCaffery saw in the Pac.
He made up for it by facing the 91st rush defense in Auburn. MissState at 72. Are we sure the defenses were far and away better?

Wazzu overachieved
UW overachieved
Cal Overachieved
Stanford Overachieved
Utah Overachieved.

Pac-12 schedules do Pac teams no favors.

UW went 6-6. That's not an "up" year.
Cal was 7-5. Also not an "up" year.

Stanford and Utah were solid teams. Wazzou, I'm sorry, was not. You don't lose to an FCS team and get your doors blown off by 6-6 Washington if you want people to think you're a good team. Also, as I said, they got to face Lockie, who is a substantial downgrade from Adams.

Overall, you guys started the year with 2 top 10 teams and 5 ranked teams overall. You ended with 1 top 10 team and 3 teams ranked overall. I'd say that amounts to an underachieving season for the conference, especially the South.
