Wisconsin's best win last season was over a crappy Nebraska.

Nebraska's best win last season WASN"T their earlier (30-27) win over Wisconsin. :nono:

Nebraska's best wins last year were.

Penn St (who beat Wisconsin).
Michigan (who didn't play Wisconsin).
Northwestern (who didn't play Wisconsin).
Michigan St (who beat Wisconsin),

Nebraska's win over Wisconsin was #5.

LMAO

Uhh... Since 2002, OSU has won 5 BCS bowls, 3 of them as conference champ. Penn State also won the conference in 05 and beat FSU in their BCS game, vacated or not. Since 02, the B1G has won 7 BCS bowls. If that's not relevant, than no conference is relevant other than the SEC and Pac... which at this time, may be valid.

Saying OSU is not elite is pretty ignorant.

Name an end of season Top 10 team you have beat since 2002 that isn't in the Big 10. Outside of Oregon in 2009.....?

Which part of 3-9 since 2002 for Big 10 Champions in bowl games is incorrect?

WTF? That is a pretty ridiculous set of parameters and exclusions.

2005 - ND (#9)

2003 KSU and 2010 Arkansas both finished top 15 as well.

Not sure why you aren't counting 2002 (this isn't even a defined period of time, so it's only arbitrary to your agenda), but OSU has won 4 BCS games since then, not counting 2002. How many other teams have done that?

If you are losing to elite teams by a single score, it's not proof that your team isn't elite. It just means another team is more elite. I mean, people thought we were elite heading into the 2011 and 2012 Rose Bowls. In one of the games, we covered the spread. In the other, we lost by 7 when the spread was 6.5.

So if people's expectations are that we are elite, and we meet their expectations, how does that disprove we are elite? The short answer is that it doesn't.

I thought there was a difference between 'fielding some good teams now and then' and "elite".

It is a decade (2003-2012). What is arbitrary about a decade?

Beat somebody worth beating. 2nd and 3rd place teams in Kansas State and Arkansas don't move anybody's meter.

Who have you beat in the last 10 years that you can hang your hat on? If Kansas State and Arkansas are the who's who list, then you have proven my point.

Outside of the borders of Wisconsin, who in the hell thought Wisconsin was "elite" in 2011 and 2012?

Can somebody other than a Wisconsin or Big 10 fan chime in and say Wisconsin was "elite" in 2011 and 2012?

2011 Wisconsin definitely had an elite team, but a bad coach. Oregon that year was elite and Wisconsin took them right down to the wire in the Rose. They had a record breaking QB and RB. They would've beaten most teams in the nation that year, no doubt.

We are talking about 2010 and 2011. The fact that you do not even know what years we were good says all we need to know about your knowledge about Wisconsin.

2010 Wisconsin started slow. Then we gave #1 Ohio State their only loss of the season. And we rolled through the B1G. We played were ranked #4 and covered the spread in our bowl game.

2011 Wisconsin was one of the greatest offenses in college football history. After this year, ten of the eleven starter will have been drafted in the 5th round or earlier. Six of them are NFL starters. Our QB had the highest passer rating in NCAA History. Our running back scored the most points in NCAA history. We averaged 45 PPG despite playing a clock-eating pro style offense. The defense was ranked in the top ten before taking on Oregon (who, I think we can all agree was an elite team), and literally playing them to the very last second.

Those were your words about being elite in 2011 and 2012.

Throw in 2010. I don't give a fuck. Find somebody. Anybody. Anybody outside of the Big 10 that thinks Wisconsin was elite from 2010 to 2012.

Anybody outside of the Big 10 want to chime in and say Wisconsin was elite during those years? Anybody?

2011 Wisconsin offense was one of the greatest in college football history? Holy shit the Koolaid in Madison must be thick.

What other offense can you think of that had national record-setters at QB and RB in the same season?

Not a Wisky homer, but at least be fair about it.

He said one of the GREATEST OFFENSES OF ALL TIME.

All time.

They weren't even top 5 that year according to the NCAA statistics, and then got outscored in their biggest test of the year in the Rose Bowl. (2011, Wisconsin was #14 in total offense and #6 in scoring, yet they were one the greatest in college football history?)

Wouldn't "best offense of all time" include something like most points scored in a season, or the best average yards per game rushing, or something like that to hang your hat on????

I'd have to see those Wisconsin stats before deciding something like that.
