Why do Texas fans act like the Longhorn network is great?

I am constantly surrounded by Alabama "fans" in my current area, some of which have never been to Alabama (for a fact, some admit it).

So I don't think there are many true Alabama fans around.

Where's that clown that is a bama football fan and a Carolina basketball fan??

But we've been on the main SEC network, not a stream. And we are on ESPN this weekend against Kentucky, but that's because Kentucky.

Personally, I couldn't give much fuck what tier it is, so long as I get to watch.

The aggie/SEC connection at least makes more sense than being forced to pay for the B1G network. The closest B1G team to me is the corn aggies.

But, even when I go to the SEC network searching for a game, I don't game worth a shit. If I were a Vandy or Georgia fan I might every now and then at least.

hahahahaha man this blew up in the gumps face. Look, I love the LHN. I love the food show with augie, I love game plan with all the coaches, I love All Access, I love Longhorn Extra, I love Friday night lights reruns, and I love the old games. I love that I get to watch every home baseball game, shoot I even watched the softball game last week. I get why non horns fans won't love it, but the jealousy in this thread is hilarious.

I barely watch it, but I think it is a great. If it causes Bama fans to post about it, than keep it. Clearly, it keeps Texas on people's mind and that is great for recruiting.

3rd tier programming is for the hard core (borderline zealot) fan.
There is nothing whatsoever on todays SEC Network that would appeal to most casual fans.

Heck, even ESPN cannot fill a day. They will replay sportscenter three times, NFL live a few times, as filler.

the first part of your point is spot on. For Texas fans, you can check in every evening and get the daily Longhorn news.

So, in the end, not sure whose fault it all is. Yes, the others are envious, but as pointed out elsewhere, no networks are beating down doors to form a Big12 network, I mean these few tv sets in Kansas and Iowa are big money waiting to be plucked...I think not. As for all the others, they had their chance and opted out.

Vikings was on last night so there are alternatives to watching sports all day. Hell, the murder channel is on most of the time at my house. I don't have time for tv. I work and then I'm out doing shit. I don't even watch SEC Now or College Game Day or any of that other shit. All they talk about is Bama and Saban anyway. Who outside the state of Alabama can stand three straight hours of guys in suits verbally sucking Sabans dick?

On Saturdays I get up and put some meat in the smoker and then I'm like "What time is the game on?" if its a late game I'm working in the yard or in the garage. If it's an early game then I'll watch the game first. If I don't have a lot of shit to do then I might flip between a couple of other games.

I can't complain too much. Before A&M went to the SEC I might get 5 or 6 games on TV and the rest of the time I had to listen to the radio and watch the game-tracker on my laptop. Now the game is on TV every week

Got lots of shit to do. Trying to get my house and property looking good so I can sell it. I got one kid left in HS and he graduates next year. This house is already too big so I'm looking into buying something smaller maybe closer to DFW when the kids leave. Plus my wife is addicted to HGTV and DIY so she keeps me pretty busy.

Work schedule changed too. My plant went 24/7 and got tired of calling me in every weekend to stomp out fires and put me on a rotating schedule. Now I have to work every other weekend. This shit better change before next fall or I might need to get another job. lol
