I think we can all say with absolute certainty that Jason Garrett is going to get fired. If not at mid season definitely at the end of the year. The question I wonder is who will replace him?

What made me start this thread is that I watch a clip of Will Cain discussing this on his radio show. If anyone watches First Take on ESPN is a regular guest and is a die hard Cowboys fan. He makes no bones about it and will make excuses for the Cowboys like the rest of us homer make for our teams. I consider him the replacement to Skip Bayless on ESPN with the difference being that Will Cain is not a moron. I think he be on the show above Stephen A. Smith who is a loud mouthed blowhard IMO.

However during his show he mentioned Lincoln Riley said he was not sure he would want the job. Wondering who would want to work with Jerry Jones. The discussion on this show even went to the point that if Bellichik was to become available would Jerry Jones step out of the way for Belichick and he said he did not think so.

Which leads to this question. Is the Cowboys head coaching job considered elite anymore amongst coaching circles? Would any highly rated coaches want the job?

Coaches are gonna line up for the Browns job if it's an open competition for it before they go anywhere near Dallas, tbh. Cleveland's roster is vastly better than the Cowboys right now and will have a whole draft to pretty much work on depth on D and skill positions on O.

I agree and they actually mentioned that on his show. They said Lincoln Riley had the choice to go to Dallas or Cleveland which would he take and they did not hesitate to say Cleveland.

Yeah, but Lincoln Riley really has no incentive to leave OU, a perennial playoff contender at a blueblood football school where he basically is the boss, and... dealing with Haslam/Jones. The only thing would be if he was hardset on proving he was the best coach to coach- which, hey, that doesn't work out for too many guys with that mindset.

But yeah, he would almost certainly pick the Browns I'd think.

Yup... To be honest I am not sure there is an NFL job he would leave OU for.

No coach worth a shit will take that job.
Jones is a football idiot, and a megalomaniac. And that's a bad combination.
He doomed the Boys when his ego got in a pissin match with Jimma.

The most Cowboy thing to do would be hire Jeff Fisher if they fired Garrett

If Harbaugh did go to Dallas, that wouldn't last a season.

No way in hell Harbaugh would put up with Jerry's nonsense. Feuding with the GM is why he ended up leaving the 49ers.

Harbaugh does not have the personality to be a Yes Man for Jerry.

Fine, he can go to the Browns, Jets, Texans or Redskins. Just go.

For real though the Rams success must be eating him alive by the second.
They only have to lower their standards slightly, it would be a smooth transition to Fisher.

Plenty of puppets will line up for the cash grab.
