Yeah the splits are extreme but that .235 Babip on the road last year was a big outlier. And if you look at Xander Bogaerts for example, his OPS is around .750 outside of Fenway just like Story outside of Coors. So I'm thinking he can get to around .800 which is basically splitting the difference between the .718 and .880.I looked to make sure it wasn’t a 1 year fluke.
it isn’t. He has consistently had pretty extreme splits. To be fair, though, Rocky players are naturally negatively affected by the Denver altitude and their splits normalize when they go to other teams. I don’t expect him to be a .718 hitter moving forward. But I think he is much closer to the .718 than he is to the .880.
