I like it. I still think they need more to keep up with Chicago but they could very well grab a WC. The Central is pretty weak

Yeah still need more pitching to have any shot at Sox and even then still unlikely.

But the lineup has potential to be really, really good.

Lot of ifs with it. If Buxton stays healthy, If Kepler gets back closer to 2019 Kepler. If Sano starts strong for once. If Kiriloff stays healthy/takes the next step.

A lot of options there though.

Gotta think we at the very least get Montas now.

Correa will only be here 1 year if things dont go really well.
Other way around. If things go really well, he bails. If he face plants, he will stick around.

I made some comments on here that I am deeply ashamed of. If I have hurt anyone out there, I can't tell you how much I say from the bottom of my heart I'm so very, very sorry. I pride myself and think of myself as a man of faith, As the Phillies sign Nick Castellanos. That will add some offense to their outfield. I don't know if I'll be posting here again............

3.6 bWAR in 661 games, and that's with a 3.5 WAR 2019 season.

he finished strong with the Braves, but he was godawful before the trade.

What is up with the Rockies? First Nolan Arenado and now Trevor Story. Is Denver that bad of a place to play baseball?

.203/.292/.426/.718
He kind of got Babip'ed on the road (.235) last season. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt since Fenway has been a good place for RH bats. I think he should get back to around .800.

It will be weird to see him at 2nd though. I thought he was considered above average at shortstop.

It seems like a great place to play to me. My theory is that Arenado, Story and the Rockies probably believe that the division they are in is going to be incredibly tough for the next couple years. Ideally they would have traded Story last year and got some prospects for him. Since they didn't, signing Kris Bryant and sticking him in left field could give them a chip to get more prospects at the trade deadline one of these years. (I think he has a no-trade but we know those can be bought out).

I looked to make sure it wasn’t a 1 year fluke.

it isn’t. He has consistently had pretty extreme splits. To be fair, though, Rocky players are naturally negatively affected by the Denver altitude and their splits normalize when they go to other teams. I don’t expect him to be a .718 hitter moving forward. But I think he is much closer to the .718 than he is to the .880.

His arm has mysteriously gotten weaker and weaker over the last few years. Not sure if there is some hidden injury or something else, but it has added a lot of shade to his future on the left side of the diamond.
