Yes it was either a better player with 1 year control or a good player, 3 years of control at less money. That is what I heard. I might be wrong. I just think the package for Eaton was too much. prospects #1, #3 and #7 is a lot. Last Year Nats turned down Yankees for Miller for a package with just #1 and #3 or #1 and #7. I forgot.

im surprised to hear the nats plan on putting him in center. he was a butcher there his entire time with the sox. he went to right field and turned into on of the better defensive outfielders in baseball

Eaton will run into the wall in CF and miss half the season. After his defensive superiority in RF in 2016, why on earth would the Nats start him in CF?
