It seems like the Sox positioning has been off all series - you see these ground balls up the middle which the Astros get to but finds a gap through the Sox defense.

don'r know about the sox positioning ... but the astro's positioning has been phenomenal.

I thought they had plenty of energy to start the game - seems like when they gave up the lead with runs in back to back innings it just discouraged them.

Yeah, me too, but maybe those first couple of innings were all they had. I'm still holding out a ray of hope, but it just looks like the Stros are the better team and it may have to be back to the drawing board.

I think back to the drawing board is a bit strong - they have a solid core. Hahn needs to figure out how we can get over the hump - will be interesting to see how he approaches the off-season.

Oh, that wasn't meant as starting from scratch whatsoever. I completely agree, our core is rock solid. I was talking more about filling in the gaps, of which there are a number of them, but all are "fillable". I'm talking about strengthening an already strong roster.

lotsa teams have a solid core. but what should be clear is the sox pitching has been vastly over-rated

Damn...as feared, that rainout yesterday really diminished their momentum from Sunday's amazing win.
It's pretty much all but completely dissipated in this game.
They haven't done crap since the 2nd inning...and the few chances they did get since have yielded nada.

Yeah, but his wild pitch preceded that play......and to be fair, the error on T.A. before that didn't help either.
