Dominant performances by Giolito/Rodon the past couple of days. Bats coming through too.

All versus one of those winning teams that we "can't beat"

Just as I was starting to get ornery we drop the Astros twice. Is good. Very good.

Losing the series couldn't happen to a better team. Very happy to see the Sox tag some punches on the Astros and give them something to think about if we see them in the playoffs. Go Sox!

We needed to win both of these games and in the process, dominating them as well. So today perhaps wasn't quite so dominating from the bats, but that performance by Rodon was as fierce as it gets. Then throw in Kopech and Hendriks for mop up duty, you have yourself a powerful win today.

I thought it was important for the Good Guys to win these last two games because those previous five the Stros flat out owned us. But sometimes it's not about how many you win, but when you win 'em. Yes, they took the season series 5-2, but we reminded them in those final two as to who has the best rotation in the AL. And if they meet us in the postseason, they'll be facing our best.
