Even tho we don't play until Thursday, it's never too soon to get this all important thread on the front burner. I haven't heard any official announcement, but it's safe to assume our first two starters will be Lynn & Giolito. I think if Rodon is completely pain free by the time the 3rd start is set to go, then he's my pick as the #3 starter. Otherwise, it's obviously Cease.

White Sox GM Rick Hahn said Carlos Rodon will pitch once during the ALDS and the team will evaluate his workload from there.

I live in Texas, but I didn't realize that Geoff Blum is the "Steve Stone" of Astro's broadcasts until recently. I can't get Astros games in Austin any longer.

The Sox can activate him and call him down to pitch hit - say in the 14th inning sometime - and if he hits a Home Run - it wouldn't be any more surprising that the one he hit in 2005.

McCullers is exactly the type of pitcher the Sox have lot of trouble beating. If the Sox win this one tomorrow - the Astros could crumble - if the Sox should lose tomorrow - I like their chances in games 2-3-and 4.

Concerns:

Lance Lynn's worst career pitching stats are against the Astros. This year - I believe his ERA against the Astros is about 8 runs a game with a small sample. Meanwhile Giolito has done very well against the Astros - in his career and this year. I would still go with Lynn in game one against McCullers - and have the Sox win with their worst opportunity to do so.

Abreu followed by Jimenez has been sort of a dead spot in the lineup in Sept/Oct. There were a few signs of them coming out of it in the last few games. Sometimes the rest between the regular season and the playoffs rejuvenates guys - Abreu with his workhorse season and bumps and bruises may just be the guy to come in fresh from a few days off. Eloy likes the big moments - I hope it pays off because if those two hit - I can't imagine the Sox losing this series.

I worry about Michael Brantley the most - he should have listened to @Lake Shore Drive and talked Hahn into signing him for service in RF.

You can get any and all baseball games using MLB66 streaming. I assumed that's what everybody's been using when catching a Sox game that's not on their general broadcast. No real need anymore this season, but screw around with it and it can be a go-to for next year.

Another interesting thing to note about that article is only 12 of the 36 picked us to beat the Astros...but of those 12, 6 of them say we're going all the way.

That about sums it up...This team could implode or explode, but those of us that believe know they're the goods....My body is ready for either direction. Preferably the positive one.

Have no idea. Seems to be on the up-n-up. No warning signs or anything like that when you log on. It's how I watched Sox games when they weren't being shown locally here in Sin City.
