There's no way we'll take Calvin Pryor with Taylor Lewan still on the board. We need insurance for Jake Long and Barksdale. Lewan is a stud.
I thought Saffold was the insurance. You know, relying on someone injury prone to fill in for someone who gets injured...seems to be the plan. There's no way we'll take Calvin Pryor with Taylor Lewan still on the board. We need insurance for Jake Long and Barksdale. Lewan is a stud.

Shopson - I strongly disagree. We'll have to wait until draft day to see who is right. I say there is no way Lewan lasts to pick #17 in round one and that Lewan will be taken before Pryor in the draft.
Pryor is 25th on CBS' big board, 18th on Walterfootball's big board, 29th on Drafteks big board, etc. If he gets taken, so be it. He is a reach at 13 but if the Rams could trade down and get an extra 3rd or 4th round pick then that takes the sting out of itI like it Clayton. But seems risky to move from 13 to 16. Pryor could easily go to Dallas, Pittsburgh maybe even Chicago. I would be happy with Dennard if Pryor was gone though.
I disagree. Pryor fills a hole that needs immediate attention at FS. Lewan fills a "what-if" hole with Long's injury. Otherwise, he's a right tackle, which can be addressed just as easily on day 2. The FS depth drops considerably from Dix/Pryor to Reynolds, then even further to the rest of the field.
