I'm stretching to come up with more players than this so I think this is what the Rams are looking at with their first 2 picks.

At Pick 2:

'The Freak'
Jadeveon Clowney DE. 6'5" 266lbs. 4.53 40 yd dash.

'Godzilla'
Greg Robinson OT/G Auburn. 6'5" 332lbs. 32 reps of 225

'The Safe Pick'
Jake Matthews OT Texas A&M. 6'5" 308lbs. 7.34 3 cone drill

'The Weapon'
Sammy Watkins WR Clemson. 6'1" 211lbs. 4.43 40 yd dash.

At pick 13:

'The Mauler'
Taylor Lewan OT Michigan. 6'7" 309lbs. 29 reps of 225

'The Big Receiver'
Mike Evans WR Texas A&M. 6'5" 231lbs. 4.53 40 yd dash.

'The Inside Pass Rusher'
Aaron Donald DT Pittsburgh. 6'1" 285lbs. 35 reps at 225.

'The All Around CB'
Justin Gilbert CB Oklahoma St. 6'0" 202lbs. 4.37 40 yd dash

'The Physical Corner'
Darqueze Dennard CB Michigan St 5'11" 199lbs. 15 reps of 225

'The Hard Hitting Safety'
Calvin Pryor S Louisville. 5'11" 207lbs. 34 1/2" Vertical

'The Protypical Safety'
Hasean Clinton Dix S Alabama. 6'1" 208lbs. 4.58 40 yd dash.

All will depend on if Byrd signs with the Rams and if we can make a trade. If Bryd signs and we stay at #2, the ONLY play is Watkins at #2 and Lewan at #13. If he does not sign, I think you need to Robinson/Matthews at #2 and Dix or Pryor at #13.

Also, Su'a-Filo and Jackson would be SERIOUS reaches at #13. They are projected late 1st/early 2nd. In fact, I feel like we could get one of the 2 in the 2nd if we traded down from #2 and got an extra 2nd.

Watkins Lewan is where I'm at too. Would be an amazing first round. Even if we traded out of #2 to 3 or 4 and still picked up Watkins.............:omg:

Yeah, those would be 2 targets if the Rams trade down from #2. They are currently reaches but Guard seem to find a way to sneak up the draft boards as of late. Zack Martin wouldn't be a huge reach at that point but I dont think he is as good as the other 2. Imo, of course.

I think most players will look like reaches at 13 if Evans, Lewan and Gilbert are gone like many are projecting. Jairus Byrd is a much safer bet than safety at 13.

I'm in the OT at 2, CB at 13 camp. As nice as Watkins would be, the Rams can always take a WR at 13. There are between 4 and 6 that will go in the first round

I think we'll end up being surprised on draft day unless Houston gives away what they're going to do. If they do that it could end up being much like the RGIII trade. Not that a team will give away the farm but as in we'll already know whom we're going to trade with and what we're getting. I doubt thats going to happen but it would be nice to have some sort of an idea. I keep going back to Fisher not picking Linemen in the first round. I know we went to both Robinson and Mathews pro day but that really doesn't mean much at this point because we're just starting FA. If we do pick up a guard and swing tackle via Free Agency then say goodbye to mathews and Robinson because we'll be picking up linemen later on in the draft.

All I know is that we have a coach who has seen Bruce Matthews, Reggie White, Albert Haynesworth, Jevon Kearse, Jake Long and Robert Quinn. I think Fisher is one of the few people who should be able to cut through the hype and if they pick a lineman on either side, it'll be a good pick.

If those guys are gone, I would go Mosley personally. In fact, I might take him over Lewan.

Doesn't seem to be much evidence, just conjecture. I guess we'll find out at his pro day.

Yeah, its just conjecture. The evidence would be that LB seem to be undervalued every year. Ogletree was a steal where the Rams got him last year. Mosley seems to be a run stopper coming into a pass happy league. The Rams play Nickel more often than not but we do have Gregg Williams coming in and he might want to switch that up. Teams are passing more than ever but the Rams do need to find a way to beat the Niners and Seahawks. If the Rams do switch things up, though, Id rather them go after Aaron Donald at 13 and take a LB in rd 2 or 3.

As is, I suspect that Greg Robinson, Clinton-Dix and Nickel CB in RD2 (Verett :hope:) would be the common logic unless the Rams pick up a Safety in FA. But knowing Les Snead, the Rams are going to trade 3 times and could end up with a lot of players we aren't even thinking about

I think Mosley at the SAM LB could be ideal. Ogletree is custom made for the WILL LB (weak side chase linebacker, usually smaller and fast), and obviously JL is entrenched at MLB. Getting a veteran FS to protect CF would really set everything right with this defense (and the cushions given by the CBs to protect the FS under Walton).

I know the tape is different but Mosley's combine numbers are very, very similar to Tree's (with a slightly weaker 3 cone) and their size is the exact same. I think Mosley and Tree are flexible enough to play any LB spot in the 4-3.

If we are talking about trading back Eric Ebron is a guy I'm really high on. He would probably be a target of mine in the 15-20 range.
