I wasn't throwing shade at you. This is towards the media and front office because I myself had read somewhere that the Frisco pitching coach like to work of the pitches they do not have command of which they should but not to where they are getting drilled where teams are hitting around .300 against many of them. Jeff Andrews lasted one year at the MLB level as a pitching coach and was the pitching coach for Frisco from 2009-2015 and then back last year.
No problem. This makes for an interesting discussion.

Here's an idea. This offseason spend money on the bullpen. To me, the lack of spending money on the bullpen has always been one of JD's biggest flaws. Sure, Young is here now, but until they spend on the bullpen I am going to assume that JD will not sign off on doing so since that has always been part of his MO.
We could use a closer however volatile they may be. We have a few guys who may be decent in that role though on way up

In this mock from Prospects Live we take my favorite, Termarr Johnson.

3. Texas Rangers

Termarr Johnson, Infielder, Mays

The Rangers have some interest in Kevin Parada here, though most admit it’ll likely be one of Green, Holliday and Johnson. Folks inside the Rangers organization seem a bit split on Holliday and have played coy regarding their interest in Johnson.

Burke is a forgotten man. I think he may be a good bet as a starter and also as a closer.

Poise and a strong stomach are needed. Would like more than him but yes he may be best option at MLB level. When I asked Sandler about him starting. His basic answer is they don’t want to mess with him coming off last injury.
Not saying I agree but we sure don’t him voice himself like a guy lie Hearn did. Oh well

as much as we hate the bullpen, they haven’t been the biggest issue this year imo. Bad defense and an offense that goes anemic way too often has lost a lot more games.

I see it as needing to spend on a closer and maybe one set up man. They need position players too, but they have not had a problem spending for them in the past.

There are several missing pieces on the team overall.

maybe but we have a number of prospects that could fill numerous spots that we need to look at up here before we go crazy this coming off-season

We have picked up bullpen pieces in trades before. Would not be surprised to see that at some point though I think that might be something next year if we have a shot to contend. A lot of roster spots in play
But yes guys like King and Bush shelf life is dwindling

Woody cries out the rebuild is over, rhe rebuuld is over. He just wants to live in mediocrity and dismiss the essential growing pains. I can see it in his batting order

We have one extended July homestand. We shall see if moves are made
Garver needs the surgery and he might be the keeper if he can catch. Move a guy like Lowe maybe even Calhoun but at least one of Miller/Culbertson. If done we can potentially add 1-2 players up here to close out the year

Trades and starting pitcher conversions are JD's MO when it comes to stocking the bullpen, for the most part. JD treats the pen the way Jerry used to treat the linebacker position.

I had no problem with not going after bullpen pieces the last few years, but prior to that I did. It is time once again to go after one or two in free agency this coming offseason.

I think our roster is going to be pretty full That is why I think we wait until the 23 break if contending

So, you do not believe in signing top bullpen pieces in the offseason either?

Our roster has some fodder that we can rid ourselves of if the right free agent is signed.
