Plus somebody else brought up Harden and CP.....people thought that would fail since they both need the ball in their hands. It's done well so far.

That was me.
Not a true example because both of them can shoot, but great players are often smart enough to find a way to make it work.

Booker's play doesn't lead to wins.

He is Klay if Klay never passed half court to defend.....lol

Jackson did impress me the 2nd half of the Season.

I think I'd take Ingram over him, individually.

I'd take Booker over all the Lakers players, individually .

But, as a collective?

Len, Jackson, Booker, Chris, Bender, Ulis or Lonzo, Ingram, Kuz, Hart, Randle?

I'll take the Lakers.

Hart was a steal.

doesnt lead to wins they have been tanking! of course it doesnt--- you couldve said the same thing about Kyrie.

say they get unlucky and "only" get Bagley..lol

Booker, Bagley, Jackson, Chriss, Bender vs. Lonzo, Ingram, Kuz, Hart?

Booker and Bagley would easily be the first two picks among those guys--- then Lonzo and ingram and then prob jackson.

i think Doncic is one of the best prospects to come out in years.

I mean the best prospects the last 10 years are Anthony Davis, Ben Simmons, Towns....Embiid is not on there because of the injuries but he wouldve been.

Wiggins was a huge prospect but not quite on that level---- very similar to John Wall....Kyrie def wasnt on that ultra-top-tier level....Blake Griffen is interesting--- he was CLOSE but not as good as those above guys....

what about Rose? @Mecca is he on that top tier or in that 2nd tier with Wall, Kyrie, Griffen, Wiggins? ?

So- going back 10 drafts....

Id rank the prospects:

1. Anthony Davis
2. Ben Simmons
3. Karl Anthony Towns
4. Doncic
5. Embiid (becuase of injury or would be 3 or 4)
6. Ayton
7. Rose
8. Griffein
9. Wall
10. Wiggins
11. Kyrie
12. Jackson Jr.
Before his injury, Rose was definitely in that top tier.....

But, behind Davis.....

Youngest MVP ever.

Blake and Wall ahead of Wiggins. But, same tier.

Mecca- i dont think id trade Booker for Ball AND Ingram.

Suns are basically guaranteed one of Doncic, Ayton, Bagley or Bamba......

Booker plus any one of those 4 is one of the best young combos in teh game--- id still take Towns and Wiggins and Simmons and Embiid- but holy shit- especially if its Doncic or Ayton id have to think about it big time.

Booker looks like Klay with a little less 3 game with a little more ball on the floor game.

Honestly, Booker might be the most overrated prospect in basketball.

He is smooth as hell and can score with the best of them. But, he plays little to no defense and his stats don't seem to elevate his team at all. I mean we are in year 3 of Booker and they are still the worst team in the NBA.

The Klay comparison is okay, but he is like the anti Klay. Klay is so great because he is an excellent defender and he doesn't need the ball ever. He is pure catch and shoot. Booker could play that way offensively, but he really doesn't.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to have Booker on my team. But he isn't likely to ever be that guy to lead a team and he isn't a two way player like Klay.

because each guy plays like 35 minutes agame...what that leaves 12 minutes MAYBE? lol....

coaches have been trying to get lebron to play in the post more for years- he hates it with a passion.

Emergence of Post Play

After losing in the title round, James spent part of the 2011 offseason working on his post-up game with the aid of Hall of Fame center Hakeem Olajuwon.

The transformation helped take the Heat offense to new heights. Erik Spoelstra shared as much with Kirk Goldsberry of Grantland during the 2012-13 campaign:

"When he returned after the lockout, he was a totally different player," Spoelstra says. "It was as if he downloaded a program with all of Olajuwon's and Ewing's post-up moves. I don't know if I've seen a player improve that much in a specific area in one offseason. His improvement in that area alone transformed our offense to a championship level in 2012.

Actually, while with the Heat he knew the importance of it.
The only REAL coach he's ever had is Spoelstra.

Funny...

I'd take Ingram long before Lonzo.

Otherwise, yeah.....

Let's revisit after the draft.

Never understood the love he gets. He's a great offensive talent but he also most likely will be on losing teams. This generation's Abdur Rahim.

All that you said is true, more or less.

But, his issues are collectable if he's willing.

6'6 pg's that hit the boards like he discard not a dime a dozen.

But, he has a ton of potential.
Ffs.....this post is a train wreck.

I'm out til I get home. Posting on my phone sucks all kinds of ass.

Yeah the list of coaches he's played for in Cleveland is not impressive @ all. Silas, Malone (18 games), Brown, Blatt & Lue.

Agree with everything, sans Denver.

Jokic is the best young player in any of those groups by a decent margin.

So, he tips the scale a bit for me.

I have no idea what to make of the Suns and who knows who they will end up with in the draft.

So, I'd take the Lakers over them.
Jokic as an individual player, yes maybe.

But Ingram might have a better ceiling. And Lonzo and Kuzma have played far too little to show off their true potential.

Agree with the point to revisit at least after the ping pong balls fall. Lakers are due for some good news. Coax LBJ away from Philly, add PG13 and great draft pick. anything is possible this summer
