@Wamu i respect the kid for being a good guy and dealing with all his dads bullshit--- hes a great passer- works hard--- works the boards

but holy shit in todays NBA you cant have a guard that shoots like this.

He shot 36% from the field, 30.5% from 3 and 45% from the free throw line.

I am not exaggerating when I say that is one of the worst shooting seasons for someone with that many attempts in the history of the NBA. Its so far beyond the realm of "bad" its really even hard to fathom.

Ricky Rubio caught a ton of shit for his shooting when he came into the league. His rookie year he shot 36% form the field, 34% from 3, and 80% from the free throw line- and THAT was just so bad its not even funny.

I honestly cannot remember a player ever coming into the league that shot worse than Ball has....thats a problem and would allow his man to double off him all the time onto LeBron which is exactly what you dont want.
All that you said is true, more or less.

But, his issues are collectable if he's willing.

6'6 pg's that hit the boards like he discard not a dime a dozen.

But, he has a ton of potential.

Rondo was also awesome at getting to the basket--- Rondo is another guy who is a terrible outside shooter- but he made his career off of his great ability to finish at the basket......he shot 41.8% his rookie year from the field, 20.7% from 3, and 64.7% from the line.

But, Ball is a triple double waiting to happen if you aren't considering their offensive styles.

Agree with everything, sans Denver.

Jokic is the best young player in any of those groups by a decent margin.

So, he tips the scale a bit for me.

I have no idea what to make of the Suns and who knows who they will end up with in the draft.

So, I'd take the Lakers over them.

Mecca- i dont think id trade Booker for Ball AND Ingram.

Suns are basically guaranteed one of Doncic, Ayton, Bagley or Bamba......

Booker plus any one of those 4 is one of the best young combos in teh game--- id still take Towns and Wiggins and Simmons and Embiid- but holy shit- especially if its Doncic or Ayton id have to think about it big time.

Booker looks like Klay with a little less 3 game with a little more ball on the floor game.

think of Doncic

Doncic has that triple double capability- but can rain triples, and finish at the rim. and hes 6'8" --- honestly hes the white-poor-mans MAgic Johnson as a prospect. lol.

Whoever gets Doncic is going to be so freaking happy.

id honestly shit my pampers if the Cavs somehow jumped in the lotto and got Doncic.

Lonzo doesn't have that particular problem .

So, hopefully he's reachable enough to accept that he has to get much, MUCH better.

I don't see Superstar potential in him. All-star possibility, yes with work.

Obviously you want more from a #2 overall pick.

But, he has time.

after taking some time to look at everyhting Doncic is my #1 prospect in this insanely loaded draft.

I am going JAckson 2, Ayton 3, Bamba 4, Bagley 5, Porter 6.

Anyone of those guys would have been the #1 pick last year.

I can't disagree w/ anything you said. But if he puts in the time & effort I think he can improve on most of his shooting #'s. But like I just mentioned a few minutes ago that FT% is downright scary. Not sure I have ever seen a starting PG w/ that low of a FT%.

hey say what you will of Rondo but he has 4 All defensive teams, 4 all star games, and was of course the PG on the champ Celtics team. most steals one year, most assists three years. If Ball ends up with 4 all star teams and 4 all defensive teams and leads the league in assists 3 times i think any Lakers fans would jump for joy right?

Ayton, Doncic, Bagley, Jackson, Bamba, Carter, Porter....

of course not--- and i think Ball is a solid player--- but his shooting is awful and in order to be the player that he should be he needs the ball in his hands.

Thats the guys strength--- court vision, setting up teammates, etc.....the only problem is- if he has the ball in his hands- which he NEEDS- then LeBron is playing off the ball- and you andi both know that LeBron is not playing off the ball- and if he was- it would be a basketball sin of epic proportions to take the ball out of LeBrons hands considering his court vision, passing and ability to break down a defense is only rivaled by Magic Johnson in the games history.

dude you have seen it--- 4 shooters around lebron- let him create- thats the formula- and thats how lebron wants it.

For it to work, James would need to accept a role playing in the post for stretches of the game.
Plus, why are you assuming they’d play all their minutes together?
Ball doesn’t need to start and James shouldn’t have to play 40 mpg.

Plus somebody else brought up Harden and CP.....people thought that would fail since they both need the ball in their hands. It's done well so far.

i think Doncic is one of the best prospects to come out in years.

I mean the best prospects the last 10 years are Anthony Davis, Ben Simmons, Towns....Embiid is not on there because of the injuries but he wouldve been.

Wiggins was a huge prospect but not quite on that level---- very similar to John Wall....Kyrie def wasnt on that ultra-top-tier level....Blake Griffen is interesting--- he was CLOSE but not as good as those above guys....

what about Rose? @Mecca is he on that top tier or in that 2nd tier with Wall, Kyrie, Griffen, Wiggins? ?

So- going back 10 drafts....

Id rank the prospects:

1. Anthony Davis
2. Ben Simmons
3. Karl Anthony Towns
4. Doncic
5. Embiid (becuase of injury or would be 3 or 4)
6. Ayton
7. Rose
8. Griffein
9. Wall
10. Wiggins
11. Kyrie
12. Jackson Jr.

Booker's play doesn't lead to wins.

He is Klay if Klay never passed half court to defend.....lol

Jackson did impress me the 2nd half of the Season.

I think I'd take Ingram over him, individually.

I'd take Booker over all the Lakers players, individually .

But, as a collective?

Len, Jackson, Booker, Chris, Bender, Ulis or Lonzo, Ingram, Kuz, Hart, Randle?

I'll take the Lakers.

because each guy plays like 35 minutes agame...what that leaves 12 minutes MAYBE? lol....

coaches have been trying to get lebron to play in the post more for years- he hates it with a passion.
