I voted for fifth. My thoughts: OK City, San Antonio, Flop City and Memphis will be the Top 4. The Dubs will cruise into fifth, Houston will finish 6th.

Seventh and eighth will be a battle between The Lakers, the Nugs, Portland and Dallas. But the two teams that finish in those spots will be well behind the top 6. I think the Top 6 each win at least 55 games. The last two teams in the West will barely break .500

Every year I think SAS will fall off, this might be the year. Manu got exposed I the playoffs, he hit some big shots against us, but he looked old and tired.

Depending on how SAS retools, I could see them actually finishing in the bottom half.

Lakers - No D12, Kobe and Nash on their last legs, Gasol and Ron Ron heading towards the twilights of their careers? I could see them finishing out of the top 8

Nuggets - Word is they are hot and heavy after Ellis, Not sure what they were thinking siging Hickson, isn't Faried still there? Don't know what their plan is up there, but losing Iggy to us has to hurt.

Blazers - I would compare them to the Rockies or Pirates in baseball, year after year, they seem to have the talent but they always seem to find a way to lose it in the end.

Dallas - Old man Dirk is 35 years old? Calderon signed there, and that's basically it?

My darkhorse to make a run to the playoffs would be the Pelicans, Tyreke Evans free from SAC gets a fresh start, Unibrow with a year under his belt, a "healthy Eric Gordon", they could surprise some people like we did this year.

Getting back to the OP, I could see the Dubs finishing 4th or higher, depending on how the chips fall. When was that last time those words came out of anyone's mouth without a serenade of laughter?

Off-season has just begun. We have no clue how things are going to shape up over the next month or so. It's unfair to judge until after that period.

I think the Warriors finish 5th. I see the Rockets jumping up to 4th, to go along with the Thunder, Spurs, and Clippers. I think Memphis will be the team that falls off. They're still going to be a tough team, but no one remembers they lost their head coach Lionel Hollins. Dave Joerger should do much of the same stuff as Hollins, but the change could disrupt a lot.

I have the warriors finishing 5th behind spurs, thunder, clippers, and grizzlies. Im not really sold on the clippers roster or the rockets. Both teams have holes to fill as of now. The grizzlies have a new coach but the core of players are returning so I dont really see a big drop off from them. If bogut can stay healthy and provide a post presence I dont see why the Warriors wouldnt actually finish 4th.

Bumping this for you Rayhl.

I don't see Flop City finishing ahead of OKC, MEM, HOU, SAS, or Us.

Call me a homer, but besides reassigning CP3 to a 103 million $ deal, their biggest offseason news was dumping Vinny the Black for Rivers.

I may not know Flop City inside out, but I don't expect their bench to perform at that level again this year. Crawford was in contention for 6th man all year long, Matt Barnes is going to play hard and dirty all year long, but he's going to be 34 this year?, Jamison was signed 37 year old "journeyman:" at this point in his career. Odom is on the run from Khloe?

As for the others, Jordan and Blake going to improve on their dunking this offseason?, CP3 may still be elite, but there's something about his healthy that I don't trust. I maybe off base, but I have a feeling like they (Flop City FO) are going to regret that contract in a few years.

As for some of the others in the division, UTA is basically playing out this year for draft picks, LAL lost Ron Ron, DEN losing Iggy, and Karl in the same offseason = no good, SAC signing Malone + Landry but will finish in the lottery this year. MINN could be "okay" if they can ever stay healthy.

You can probably tell I'm bored, and I can't wait for the season to start, 2 months more?

What's exciting to me is I don't even really care where they finish the regular season. As long as they make the playoffs (which they should easily), it doesn't matter much because they showed last year they are dangerous enough to win a playoff series against any team, and aren't intimidated by not having home court advantage.

Depending on Curry's ankles and Bogut's overall health, I'd pick the Warriors to finish anywhere from 3rd to 6th. OKC and the Spuds are definitely the two best teams in the conference and LAC might be thrown in there as well. Doc Rivers is a heck of a motivator and his experience/presence alone can catapult the Clips to a top 3 finish.

With a better overall team this season, I want to see how coach MJ distributes the minutes for the Warriors and their reserves. I also want to see how he handles Curry's minutes this season, as he know as two other ballhandlers he can rely upon in Douglas and Iggy. Nedovic is another possibility but I guess we'll see what develops further on with him.

Apparently Bogut is close to "100%", players seem to play better during "contract years", so in his contract push, I'm expecting nothing less than 14/10/2/2 a night from Bogut. He's never been a big stat guy, his gerth in the paint can't be described on a stat sheet.

That being said, if Bogut gets mid 30's during the 1st half of the season, I would be worried. Keep the big man fresh. We have Speights on the team for a reason.

Good stuff if he gets to 80% in his bucks days that would be huge!

Bump, after a shaky preseason, I'll admit I'm nervous.

Many questions that haven't been answered

1) When will HB come back?

2) Who is our Back up Point?

3) Who is going to be our Jack/Landry this year?

4) Can Jackson keep the starters fresh?

5) When will B.A.R.T go on strike again? Those bastards

6) Will being the hunted vs being the hunters change the quality of play from the returning players?

7) How will the 6 new players fit in ? (JO, Speights, AI, Douglas, Nedo, Kuzmic)

It will take a little to gel but I fully expect our guys and mark Jackson to get that done

1) I think Barnes may miss the first week, but I'd rather the Warriors be overly cautious with him to begin the year than rush him back. Gotta think about the future with that guy. Plus you don't want to rush him back too early and have him struggle because of an injury. It could hurt his confidence and we all know we need a big year from him.

2) AI will be the defacto backup PG. I think Douglas will be used more early because of the HB injury and need to rest AI. When Barnes comes back, I think Douglas might be relegated to more of a specialist/situational player.

3) Barnes and Green are the two guys I'm looking at most for bench production. Green has worked on his outside shot a ton and I expect him to do more facilitating and scoring this year. Speights could have a nice year, but more often than not I think it'll be hit and miss with him. It's very important we get the consistency from 1-6 this year.

4) We can only hope. Jackson's rotations always bother me.

5) Long hair, don't care.

6) Probably. The Warriors last year lacked that killer mentality. This year teams will be gunning for them and they have to show that they can keep their foot on the gas for a full 48 minutes. I think they may end up having a few humbling losses to begin the year, which may help motivate them and get the back in the right direction.

7) AI will fit great, although there will be times of the year where fans will be complaining that he doesn't do enough. O'Neal should do alright until Ezeli gets back. Speights will be inconsistent but he'll get some minutes. Nedo and Kuzmic likely won't get much run at all.

Depends on how they fare against the Spurs, Clippers, and Grizzlies the second time around. I feel confident the Dubbs can play against the Spurs and Clippers, but the Grizzlies have always played the Warriors tough. Gasol is a terrific defender and has a nice touch around the paint along with Randolph's abiility to score inside and draw fouls. Memphis is tall and can bang so the Warriors have their work cut out for them.

Where they finish this year? Let's say injuries are not a factor, I'm guessing a 4 or 5 seed this year.
