Also, what more do honestly think the Celtics could accomplish with Kyrie and Hayward? Do you think they are a 70 win team on the level of Golden State?

Because I sure don't.
.
I think they would be close to Golden State. A little below, but close.

the C's got taken to 7 games by Milaukee in the first round and easily could've lost that series, and I don't remember many people giving them a chance to beat Philly either.

Without Marcus Smart.

He is their heartbeat and IMO the best perimeter defender in the NBA.

What you fail to realize is that Hayward + Kyrie = less minutes for Smart and Rozier. Kyrie and Hayward are defintely the two best players on the roster. But, the pieces fit really well without them. Quite possibly better.

OF course they will. If Lebron leaves so will Love and Korver and Smith probably. It will be an entirely new team full of young rookies

Those guys are all under contract and the numbers aren't pretty.

They can't just leave. Love is probably the only tradeable veteran piece they have without attaching a significant asset.

I would put a lot of faith in an excellent coach like Stevens' ability to integrate even more talented players. Kyrie certainly wasn't hurting the team when he played.

For sure.

But how much better are they?

5 wins?

I doubt more than that. They certainly aren't seriously challenging GS. Hayward and Irving aren't the defenders that the guys playing behind them are.

If you can add scoring and the defense stays about the same it's a win. Put it this way, if Stevens and Ainge think adding them makes the team worse he will trade them for other assets.

Won't make them worse.

But you are adding offense and losing defense. It won't improve them as much as people are assuming. I would bet on that.

It's got nothing to do with flagrants. They literally changed the rules of the sport to get scoring because when you have a playoff game final score at 68-64 something's wrong

Something is wrong when Kyle Korver is owning your shit in the ECF

Might be the worst display of talent I've seen in the ECF and the worst ECF I've ever seen

All this from a MJ hater. I'd love to see Steph Curry play back in the 80s or 90s. Curry would be Steve Kerr because if he went in the paint the dude is getting hammered

Give it a rest, youre a guy that thinks Bill Lambier would give Lebron trouble...Lebron would have destroyed those non athletic fat asses from back in the day

Steve Kerr said he'd never be able to play in todays game, Ill take it from him

No, Love and Korver will stay, and the team will stink

Korver? What the hell kind of looks do you think Kyle Korver is getting if a defense is keying on him, and not having 3 guys paying attention to everything Lebron does?

Moron get off Lebron's dick for a hot minute.. geez

Lambier wasn't a SF and would not have guarded Lebron. Rodman would have.

Lambier would have left his man though and fouled the shit out of anyone going into the paint

Please dude, I appreciate Mike, Im just not a "Back in my day" guy

Lebron would have run circles all over the Rick Mahorns and Charles Oakleys of the world, those guys would be grabbing their knees by the middle of the first quarter

Dude is built like Karl Malone, to act like he would have trouble with physicality, its ridiculous

Naaah, I appreciate Mikes' greatness, I just know he's never had to do the lifting that Lebron does, hes carrying a duffel bag full of dog shit AGAIN to possibly another finals

Mike never won Shit without Pippen, Pippen almost went to the ECF without Jordan

Maybe Lebron should try to keep the great sidekicks he's had instead of shopping them..

Jordan and Pippen were 2 of the best defenders in the history of the game. Jordan the best scorer and clutch performer the game has ever had.

This is the worst ECF finals I've ever seen. Kyle Korver is runnin shit and either of these teams will be lucky
To win 1 game in the NBA finals

Most of that is true, dont dis-agree.........But Kyrie Irving was really his only great sidekick, and he would have missed this postseason again with an injury for Cleveland or Boston

But I agree, Lebron the GM isnt good, he should stick to playing

Didn’t Michael Jordan get his dad killed because of his gambling debts?
