Bo will coach Nebraska until HE decides he doesn't want to. At that time, he will move on to the NFL and will probably be replaced by Beck.

Right unless Nebraska goes through the same stretches that FSU went through. If 6 win seasons become the norm, the Huskers fans will call for his head until they get it, which is what happened with Bowden.

Hopefully the Huskers won't ever go into that kind of a stretch and it will never come up.

That why after 5 yrs he will have no excuses

Personally after 2015 he had better have some trophies or he will be on a major hot seat

Thats you opinion. You know Tom Osborne came close to being fired at Nebraska but wasn't and look how that turn out. I get so sick of this he can't win the big game. Well let's all jump off the cliff fire Bo and let's see what happens. Another Dumbest coach in America higher. Then what! I wanna know becuase everybody thinks the next guy will be better right. Well when they fired Solich who did we get yup thats right Dumbfuck Billy C a total disgrace to the Nebraska football program.

We don't fire coaches anymore, we promote them, luckily for ol Barney, or they just accept a great opportunity position elsewhere, unless you need to resign for "personal" reasons of course

In all honesty hwsnbn is a great offensive guy he just hired a deaf dumb and blind DC. Bo and hwsnbn might have made a deadly combo if it could have jelled

I swear the threat of another billy c has scared fans to accept the 9/10 win four loss with blowouts. Weren't gonna get another billy c but accepting the 9-4 cycle is up to you and is your opinion. After 5 years we should have a conference title and bcs win if not adios

Have you seen the schedule?

Yeah, I have to say, you have a Senior QB, third year in the conference, easy schedule, no Ohio St, or Wisconsin, you have to make it work.

And then you your in a cycle like ND getting rid of headcoaches left and right for 20 years. Firing coaches is not always the anwser to solve the problem.

Sorry, Nebraska fans. I did not mean to imply that 6-6 is a norm at Nebraska. It clearly isn't.

I should have inserted "ever do" into this sentence:

"If 6 win seasons ever do become the norm, the Huskers fans will call for his head until they get it, which is what happened with Bowden."

I would also like to add that Nebraska sure has a huge fanbase for a state with such a sparse population. A HUGE fanbase. (And it isn't a bunch of bandwagoners because Nebraska hasn't won a Natty or conference title in a long time.)

One can't help but be impressed by that.

I get so sick of people who think it is drastic to look for a better coach if your coach can only win the easy ones. Outside of a few last year that had nothing to do with coaching Pelini is winning most of what he should win, losing a few he should of won and failing to compete in big games.

As for Solich that was a completely different situation with an AD that wanted to do away with all tradition and start his own legacy. HWSNBN fit the slot for that.

Now we have a coach who has come close to bringing us back to relevance but unfortunately the last few years makes it appear as he has hit the ceiling.

If he has done all he can than regardless of who is out there to replace him, he has done all he can. It's not my decision but I am willing to give him two more years foregoing any more record blow outs. If at that point it is clear that we need a new coach than we need a new coach. Being afraid we might get someone worse doesn't change that at all.

My opinion, open the checkbook and run this program like a perennial powerhouse. The days of bringing in a friend who coached high school for a few years and giving him 5 years to get up to speed are gone (asst coaches).

Spend money, win games. Don't spend money, train coaches.

Apples to Oranges sir

Irish fired coaches after like 3-4 years and they had more talent than we did.

I said after 2015 serious talks but I said give him 5 years which would be about 11 years total more than enough time to break down and see if we're making progress or not.

If we were doing the Irish plan bo would have been fired under Irish coaching standards

Like I said that schedule is cake.... I think Boise is getting jealous right now.

I agree, but I also think patience can be a great virtue. I may not be crazy to sit tight. But, I still maintain that Bo is coaching for his job this upcoming season.

Thought it was crazy when you said it in CBS blog site

But the future schedule sets up nice and easy if you were trying to bring in a new coach not to mention that division is soft to

But I don't see him getting kicked out unless we have 4-5 losses in blowout fashion.

I agree and there has been a lot of transitions to take into account.

I also agree Pelini knows he can't keep getting blown out and get a pay check here. Nothing stands alone but another Wisconsin game and he is in big trouble.
