Knoxville is actually a pretty nice town and part of the state, but I agree with the others. I'm in Bamma now and it's not exactly a Shapiro pool party

maybe I'm spoiled from living in NY, but I didn't think it was anything extra special, from what I remember you got your mountains and those are always great, but I wasn't blown away. I been to Vandy too, and that one is actually beautiful.

Meh.

For every recruit who's priority is beaches, bitches, and bling, there is a recruit who wants to get a good education, develop and play at a tradition rich program that has an opportunity to win championships, and get a shot at the NFL.
Unfortunately those schools are Ohio St, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma.

I may be crazy, but if I was a really good player, which could mean being a 3 star recruit with a good selection of options, these would be my priorities.

1. Getting to the NFL (will I get a shot to play, can the coaches develop talent)
2. Education
3. Girls (not going to lie, if I am back to 18, I am looking to put down some lead)
4. Facilities (are they a top notch school)
5. Family (will they be able to come to my games and such)
6. fan base (what is the support for the school)

and I think in all those Nebraska can do well, maybe not in Girls, I dunno, I haven't been to the school in a few years.

first of all they are all already in the south. Secondly...the recruiting at Kentucky recently seems a little fishy to me.

Tennesse can sell that 110,000 person stadium...other than that, idk what explains them

Ole Miss doesnt surprise me. Once they get a guy on campus its hard for them to say no. Ole Miss has some of the hottest sluttiest chicks in the nation, and the Grove is a legend. its one of the best party schools in the nation, hands down

F it let just move to the SEC it's ok to get your face kicked in by bama fla sc lsu as along as they are moving up and getting titles.

Nebraska has hot girls , we have big stadium top facility, sorry we don't pay our players and no you can't run on campus with ak or goon squad .

It's getting to point where if we can win join em i guess. Why anyone would want to play football at uk ole miss or vandy beats me but they are making serious moves.

It is subjective, the town had a good vibe for me similar to the way I like Austin

In general I would bet most of the kids care about pussy and party first more so than anything else. Hot and cold running boobs will seal the deal just about any time, if not for that Arizona St wouldn't have a football program at all

and I keep thinking that this year, Bo is coaching for his job. I really don't think anything less than 11 wins will do anymore.

If by the end of 2015 season we haven't won a bigten title or bcs visit then its time for bo to have a serious talk or maybe leave

Seriously our schedule is cupcake the next three are a chance for Nebraska to present itself as an elite team... Even if its on a weak schedule. But 11-12 wins a season will make top talent turn heads

cramp in a couple of 9 win seasons there, and 3 straight bowl losses, plus the debacle that has been the Wisconsin, Ohio State or just about any big game Nebraska has ended with mud on their face. New AD in town, they love to hire their own guy.

I just find it interesting that we seem to forget how every time Nebraska loses a game a lot of people at like the world is about to end, but then we calm down.

And bring in who?? Who would want to come to a school who fires coaches for 9 and 10 win seasons. Name one big name coach who would touch that job

hey Auburn fired their coach after only two seasons of winning the school's only second National title. If the money is good enough, they will find someone. And this is not my wish, or my desire. is just what I figure.

10 wins a year..bo is not coaching for his job....

With the schedule like that bo gotta cash in and gets some hardware

5 years from now i guarantee people will be restless of 9-10 wins win the schedule we have....

seriously our division has one team to worry about wisky and that its nwestern maybe. Because it one thing to win 9-10 games a year with a hard schedule but overthr next couple years Nebraska will not have a tough schedule. When losses to Illinois Purdue Indiana or Rutgers happen and I hope that we never lose to those teams but if it happens fans will lose it

why are you all assuming that Bo wont improve? It took Tom years to get over the 9 win hurdle but once he did he ruled the 80s and 90s. I dont believe in pushing a coach out when he is having success. I think we need to focus on the weakness and improve on them but to ax a coach when he is having success is a step backwards. Look at the trouble we had hiring a coach after Frank was let go, The knee jerk reaction. If we do fire Bo we better have a damn good saftey net to catch us this time. And in all honesty I dont think that we as a university is ready to shell out the big bucks to land a coach like Saban, or Meyer. I think we need to stay the path and give Bo atleast 10 years at the helm. Now if we dont have any hardwear by then it might be time to look elsewhere. But like I said we better land a very big fish.

The classic line referring to what drTom did.....
This is a differs era of football so you can wipe that whole theory out bc that style of football and era is day and night when comparing this era

Ill be honest I don't see us really improving outside the fact that schedule will be getting easier. My reason is we have struggled to get top defenders to come here when Bo is known as a defensive genius. Our offense has carried us after 2010 which was the last year we had a respected and feared defense.

Another point is recruiting we still struggle mightly to get a top 25 class we also have finished in the lower part of the top25. In big games we get smacked to the point you asked if this team was ever ready. We get out coached a lot by younger or first year staffs ucla mich osu etc.

I'm willing to give him 5 more years that would be 11 but I have a feeling we won't cash in on the easy schedule. Bc osu and mich are back and if psu wasn't on probation and in that mess they would be up there wisky going spread which will help them balance out.

I agree firing a 9-10 win coach leaves and send a harsh message but when you look deeper into bo situation you see alot of flaws in the 9/10-4 seasons. I'm just praying we get talent and stock pile it but that won't happen until we get out of this cycle. Bc 9-10 wins in a 13-14 game season doesn't sound that sexy ESP when your getting blown out in big games

So I hope he improves but I see us improving bc of easier schedule and division but even then were not a fear forced in the bigten again were behind a top rivalry. Just my opinion we need to stop giving bo passes the honeymoon is over let's get out of this 4 losses blowout cycle

Yes you are right the honeymoon is over. But this staff has gone threw lots of changes on the defensive side. It would be cool to see if ekler and sanders and even Carl was still here what recruits we would be able to pull in. We have a dline coach that has been here one year. And JP is in his 2nd year as "DC" ? So I guess give it time I don't have the answers. I thought Suh would help us land top talent. New weight room and so on. But when it boils down to it players want to play for coaches imo

I forgot to mention the turnover staff was on the defensive side with sanders Carl ekler all leaving and that hurt us in recruiting but that part of the game of football USC lost a lot of key coaches let not forget Snyder coaching tree gave us half the old big 12 coaches forms stoops BB at ark, mangino etc

Like I said I can give him 5 more years bc the schedule easy but after that he has to have some hardware. Enough with the excuses and crying about recruiting let get it done .

Richt has been under a lot of heat in Georgia because UGA fans want and expect him to win them several SEC championships. Richt is a great coach and I like him a lot but many, many UGA fans have been calling for his head every time the Dawgs don't win a championship.

That said, I believe Richt would go back to Nebraska if they ask him.

firing a 9-10 wins a season coach just depends on situation. I wouldn't see us having any problem firing Bo and finding a replacement, if he has more losses like UCLA, OSU and Wiscy CCG last year. When you are a defensive minded coach you shouldn't give up that kind of yardage/points. Now if Bo's getting to 9-10 wins and every loss is by 3-7 points and the score is at least reasonable (21-28 or 28-32), then coaches are going to have a harder time coming here because they were close games that maybe a couple of different things happening you win.

I've mostly been stuck on, who do you get? You aren't stealing a top notch coach from any other major program. I just can't think of anyone who's going to call NU their dream job. There was talk of Richt at Georgia, but personally I think he's done less with more than anyone in the SEC. So, who's left, someone that has had success at a crappier football school or a Coordinator. Personally, I'd love to get an NFL guy like Bill O'brien. I think that NFL pedigree might get some recruits in.

you guys talk about changes on the Defensive side, well after those guys left, did Bo go out and get an experience guy, someone with recruiting links? no, so half the problem there was Bo sticking with his homies. we got Els - a mediocre coach at best for LBs with no BCS level experience, JP with no experience outside of Bo's system and then TJ which was the one good hire. oh and Kaz - which I also think was a decent hire, he at least had BCS experience at Iowa.

I say Jim Caldwell, fresh off his SB run. He did also coach the Colts to a SB. I mean, the guy has a couple more years in him, where he can run with the young guys. He has the most important tool for any HS recruit, a bridge to the NFL, he knows what it takes to be the best at it. And he also has experience in the collegiate level. Dude would be a perfect match in my mind.

Personally after 2015 he had better have some trophies or he will be on a major hot seat
