i also heard that part of it is MARKETING for Space Jam 2...lol

but yah - its at least 90% he is a Laker

if thats the case and the Cavs hold onto Kevin Love and the rest in some ill-conceived attempt to get the 7th or 8th seed I will not be happy.

they already have a couple decent blocks- Sexton, Nance, Osman...MAYBE Clarkson.....just go for the bottom out and rebuild.

after 2 seasons they should be in pretty good shape.

If he does leave, are you going to stick around here next season?

Why the drama of waiting till Friday to say you are becomming a FA?

to go from "rebuild" to trying to win. I hope so anyway.

Getting the lotto pick this year obviously helped. I am hoping 2 more lotto picks, and whatever assets they can get from tearing down the roster will speed up the rebuild.

Last time it was a 4 year rebuild but that was after LeBron left with the cupboard absolutely bare- owing draft picks, instead of having a lotto pick in a loaded draft- and having a decent piece or two in Osman, Nance, maybe Hood, maybe Clarkson.

I mean- after THIS next year the Cavs should have some cap space since JR and Hill- whether LeBron stays or goes- will be gone.

I still think there is a SMALL chance LeBron stays--- i am not saying its 100% Lakers yet- but its at least 90% from what i have heard.

And like i said---- move Love, move Korver.......Hill and Jr are basically expiring contracts so maybe you can take back someones bad deal to get some assets (though i wouldnt take anyone back going out more than 2- or at MOST 3 years),

I think after 2 years of being bad- and collecting at leaset 3 lotto picks, and a couple other picks, the Cavs would then be ready to go from tanking and rebuilding into signing a free agent or two and trying to start to win again.

The Cavs, who drafted Alabama point guard Collin Sexton with the eighth overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft, have begun to behave as though they expect James to leave this offseason and are preparing for the future, per Windhorst.

“From the Kyrie [Irving] trade forward, a lot of the Cavs’ moves have been toward a post-LeBron future,” Windhorst said. “I don’t think LeBron was involved in their draft pick whatsoever. When Koby[Altman] says we’re in the player development business and not the championship winning business, that signals what they’re thinking LeBron is going to do.”

Windhorst added there are only three or four people who know what LeBron is thinking, and for the most part, they’re not talking to anyone.

James will surely not go to the Lakers unless LA is able to get Paul George or Kawhi Leonard. There’s also the possibility James could sign a one-plus-one deal to remain with the Cavs and enter free agency again in the summer of 2019.

LeBron will reportedly use ‘Space Jam 2’ trailer to announce next decision

lol....it has to be LA

he is suppossedly releasing where he is going in the TRAILER to Space Jam 2. lol......and i think he is doing it on the DAY that Uncle Drew starts in theaters right? lol....thats cold.

Seems like its Friday.

That sounds like complete bullshit. I could certainly be wrong but I can't imagine that Lebron is willing to get some much needless shit by doing something like that.

He is gone to LA and if he is I would be VERY surprised if Paul George wasn’t a Laker too. He’s been wanting to play with him for years.

If this happens I think the smart move is to trade KLove now unless they want to try and raise his value by putting up Minny numbers the first half and trading him at the deadline. I still think you ship him off now

Same question.
Win what?
Make playoffs?
Win a round?
You know without James that even making EC Finals again is pretty much a pipe dream.

Unless he was smart enough to film 4-5 different trailers, then obviously where he is going is no secret to many people.
With the odds tripling to the Lakers in the last 24 hours it seems not to hard to connect the dots unless hes just trolling everyone.

I think that would depend who they draft and who they could get as a FA. I mean if they can get a future superstar in one of these drafts who knows, they might be able to attract FA’s. I think winning a title and their run definitely helps their future for recruiting, still isn’t anything close to LA, Boston, Miami, etc. though

The minute James leaves is the minute Gilbert starts making moves to get back under salary cap penalties.

Well duh. It’s not like they are good contracts or young players anyway. There is no reason for Love being there

I thought Cavs were his hobby and money was never a factor according to some?

If James leaves, is it because Gilbert was cheap?

If he leaves, all of @WiggyRuss theories are up in flames ( like James jersey).

Why would he spend for a team that has no chance to get to the Finals, probably not the playoffs. Doesn’t make any sense. Miami has been irrelevant since Lebron left and that isn’t changing the problem is Miami kept spending and it is costing them lol

I think it will be LAL as well, but I'm starting to hear he might dance one more time in CLE.
