that being said, I'm not sure what our record in the past 10 games has to do with being interested in trading for a generational talent with 2+ seasons of control.

I'm against big ass contracts in general, but if we were to pursue Soto, going after him as a FA makes more sense for the Rangers. If things go according to plan, our window of contention should be open in 2025, and adding Soto would elevate the Rangers.

Devers and Bogaerts are studs. Devers is only 25 but is a FA in 2024. Bogaerts is 29 and a FA in 2026 if he chooses to opt out otherwise he gets paid another $20,000..
