Chicago was middle of the league in ERA the years he was there. Texas is #1 this season, but it's worth noting the Yanks are right behind them with a cobbled together platoon of rookies and career back-ups.

I guess what I'm saying is I'm not pining for AJ. They're fine without him.

What you are missing, Nasty, is the value of the uniform and the tradition of playing for the Yankees. If AJ signs with the Yankees, he starts the all-star game this year and contends for the batting title. The Yankees could use that production from catcher.
