Here is a more reasonable explanation. They viewed the DBs probably available in the third as a huge step down to what was available in the second.

At the same time, when looking at OL, they saw what was available in the second and realized the drop in talent to the third was minimal.

Good point. Plus having a LATE 3rd round pick must of factored in the equation. Still shocked Ringo went 4th round.

Bottom line the team at Forbes as the #2 Cb in this draft. There will be Forbes/Gonzo comparisons all through their careers. Kincaid is the only one on that list that should have been considered besides Gonzo. We will see.
It wasn't just the Skins. The overall consensus had Forbes rated as the #2 CB in the draft.

And as an added bonus. It's being reported that the Cowboys were set to select Forbes with their #1 pick till the Skins scooped him up.

I can understand Dad's get off my lawn you little punks attitude. If we were 9 or 10 weeks I into the season. But displaying it right now before a single game has been played is just being a hater.

On the other-hand. The Skins turned me into a hater a long time ago so I can dig it.

Waiting 9 or 10 games is my game plan ... maybe even a couple of years. If he is injured more than a 200 lb St-Juste I will start worrying.

Yeah, injury's my biggest concern. There's been short guys who've had pretty productive years in the NFL. Bob Sanders, Darren Sproles etc they were all built like brick shit-houses though. I'm hoping Forbes is the the 2023 version of Pat Fischer. who was what, 5'9" n 170 on a good day and managed to put in 17 NFL seasons. If Forbes can give the Skins half that as a starting legit NFL CB that'll be above n beyond cool.

Hoping for a little D'Angelo too because he was a ballhawk.

I don't see where the argument would be:

I get Gonzalez .... we will have watch that on the field.

I do get it ... it is 166 lbs otherwise I think you'd be happier.

If I was going to complain it would have been in round 2. In my mind, there were three lineman there that I would have drafted. I was round 1 CB, round 2 and 3 OL. They went round 3 and 4 for OL. I really liked Tippman but that would not have been an option. I like OL from Wisconsin.

Not for nothing but the Cowboys draft really well of late.

Yeah ... since Jerrah's son has been more influential and let Jerrah drink his whiskey they have drafted well.

The SEC has football players as big as NFL players. Even Division II players has lineman as big as NFL players.

Your earlier opinion that the Skins want to use the kid they drafted in the 2nd to replace Curl. So they don't have to pay him has me worried somewhat.

Me too. I think Curl is a huge key to the defense. Look at how the defense performs with him versus without.

Sorry but hell to the no on the son, in my not so humble opinion. I will credit the Jones boys for putting their finger in Will McClay's belt loop. Scouting remains supreme for finding good football players. Not many saw Parsons edge rush potential from his college tape. Dallas lands 4 to 5 rookie first year contributors almost yearly.

Will McClay
Eventually y'all need one of these as well.

Shout out to stymie
. Hurry back.
