The Rangers got two goals yesterday on two outstanding individual plays by two outstanding players. Outside of that? They didn't threaten much.


And if Henrik is going to let guys like Johnny Boychuck bury wristers from the top of the slot, the Rangers aren't going to keep a game close, much less win the series.

I thought game 1 was even, but game 2 was an ass-kicking, no argument.

I wanted Martin re-signed, when that fell through, he was the only real option, but last year was the classic walk year. An OPS 100 points higher than he had posted the year before, and 75 points higher than his career number.

Now I see he's back to his career norms or worse, it looks like the right call to me.

No you're right, he's never been much of a hitter really, but I think that guy brings a ton of value as a catcher that's all, and for a 1 year $7 mil tag?
