Well worth it IMO.

A ton of value as a catcher? Not so sure about that. I've never considered him as a premium defensive talent a la the Molinas. I thought his appeal was he could pop some HR.

Chicago was middle of the league in ERA the years he was there. Texas is #1 this season, but it's worth noting the Yanks are right behind them with a cobbled together platoon of rookies and career back-ups.

I guess what I'm saying is I'm not pining for AJ. They're fine without him.
