Based on Mac Jones ability to quickly ID defenses I can see having a great route runner like JJ and the TE combo hooking up often. Throw in Agohlor to keep teams honest. I see good things.

The D is vastly improved. They brought back guys like Van Noy, Lawrence Guy, Deatrich Wise and Hightower added guys like Matt Judon, Davon Godchaux, and a new rookie class that many experts say were steals that add the speed they lacked; DT Barmore, DE Perkins and LB McGrone who may not be ready day 1. They still have one of the better secondaries and BB as the HC. I'm not worried about the D holding their own. I think they'll be the strength of the team.

Hope Mac is the real deal. Apparently Stidham was a swing and a miss? We may never know as BB gave him little to no time. IMO that may have been a BB ego and total control thing. Heard rumors last year Stid didn't want to compete for the starting job once Cam was signed. Once you get in BBs dog house it's difficult to get out of it. See Malcolm Butler.

Well I only see them improving. Current predictions show them as the 7th ranked D. I think at least top 5. Which is plenty good enough to get to a SB.

Because QB is the most important position in the game especially with where the league is at right now with offenses. Buffalo is so head shoulders above NE that it isn't even a competition between those two if Josh Allen stays healthy. Julio Jones does nothing to change the fact that the Patriots have one of the worst QB situations in the league in 2021.

Your back up QB won a SB. All it takes is a little luck. Granted it hasn't been a 50 year drought for NE.

Didn't 8 or so defensive players opt out last season due to COVID? And the defense was still respectable. The defense is going to be waaaaaay better.
