Today is a one round mock from Mel Kiper. He had us taking Jeanty in January, Loveland in February - now those two are gone before our pick so he has us taking someone different:

Tetairoa McMillan, WR, AZ

What say you to a 6’4”, 220 pound Potential #1 WR?

For those who want BPA, it would be pretty hard to argue getting a guy that most respected publications list as a top 10 talent in this draft.

Yes please! Gives us 3 legit targets with Sutton, Engram, and then McMillan and add in Mims being able to move around doing whatever they want with him. That would be a tough offense to stop. Add in then you can still add a RB in the 2nd or 3rd round that you feel like could be a true starter in the league. Let's say you get McMillan in the 1st and Henderson in the 2nd. Good luck to any defense thinking they could stop that offensive firepower. Especially when I am thinking about the redzone set up with that level of size and speed.

Well I guess I am the outlier as I just don't see him as a sure #1WR. In most WR classes he wouldn't be the top WR prospect. His physical tools and build are outstanding, but some of his metrics indicate he won't be a #1WR. If he was in last years class he would be the 5th WR IMO behind Brian Thomas Jr. That doesn't scream value or BPA to me. With that said, if this is who the brain trust selects I will be fine with it as they have a pretty good track record.

I am going to politely disagree with the above comment.... The "metrics" part means nothing to me... His tools and play on the field mean everything, what I have see him from him and I have watched a ton of McMillian... But I do respect the reason behind it.

It also doesn't mean you are wrong and I am right.

You are right the measurements he has height/weight/speed wise are not usually what you see in successful WR's in NFL history, but at the same time you don't usually have many that are his height that enter the league either. He has shown incredible production for 2 straight years running a variety of routes and showing a nuance to his game of how to get himself open. Then add in the bonus that even when he is covered he is still open because of that catch radius he has.

The other nice thing is him coming to Denver you are not asking him to be your #1 WR day 1. He would be a part of a trio in Sutton, Engram and him that would make defenses have to really figure out how in the world are we covering all this size. And you would not want to leave any of them 1-on-1 so lighter boxes for the run game to work against and teams struggling to blitz with Nix being able to trust his guys to go up and catch a pass even when covered.

If he ends up on the Broncos I hope you are right and I am wrong! I do stand by the fact that he is only the WR1 in this class because the WR position is a little weak this year.

I do agree that if he was in last year's class no one would be talking about him as the top guy. He would still be talked about as a 1st round player though. So I do think he is worthy of going in the 1st.

Yes, the WR draft isn't top heavy like it has been in years past. I find a lot I like in the rd 2-4 range. The last few years WR's classes have been eye poppin'.

You guys are probably sick of me saying this but like RB , I like the WR depth we have... We just need that "dog" at WR. The do it all WR.. My take on WR is this.

We just need that guy who can either be better then Sutton making him our true #2 or at least a guy where we can say Sutton and (FILL IN BLANK) are WR's 1A, 1B.. 2A, 2B. Someone who is better then Sutton making him our true #2 (because that makes our team better) or someone who we can at least say.. "Not sure who our #1 is but our #1 and #2 give us a #1 together..

Because we have the other guys that we need at WR to round out a good core.
