Billy Butler was a disgusting, fatassed piece of shit.
When the nickname is Country Breakfast, you know the career is going to end early.

They knocked down one of the greatest stadium in the history of sports.
It was nothing short of hallowed ground.

And the ultimate insult is they built the new stadium to look like the old one.
As if that would give it a soul without the history to go with it.

From the house that Ruth built to the house that greed built.

The Tigers starting lineup might struggle to hit .275 against a triple A rotation

The saddest part is, they might not even have the worst lineup in their own division. White Sox project for about as many runs (4.32 R/G per Steamer; Tigers are 4.33) and the Royals project for 4.20 R/G. Orioles are projected at 4.18 R/G. At least there's some upside with Castellanos and Candelario. Miggy projects for a pretty good offensive year as well (.283/.369/.480, 129 wRC+). Trumbo's the best hitter on the O's and he's a DH with a career 108 OPS+ and .302 OBP.

The Royals might have one everyday player hit.275

The rest are between .230-240. But at least they don't have any power either

Good point. So much hinges on the development of Stewart and Cameron and Paredes.... Maybe they will start spending again soon.

Right before one of these broke out:

The biggest free agent signings in this team's history are guys like Ervin Santana, Ricky Nolasco, Phil Hughes and Josh Willingham. And all that really does is prove that Jim isn't as much of a tightwad as his old man was. Carl actually tried to murder the team for a pay out.

Once, just one time could you surprise us, pry open that fat fucking wallet of yours and sign a REAL free agent?!? Any of the remaining 4 guys out there could help the Twins a lot now and into the future and would excite fans.

My main issue with Yankee Stadium is routine popups shouldn't go for homers, and yes, I fully realize the dimensions are the only reason we won a game in our series against the Yankees last year since Acuna's 2 run 11th inning shot isn't a homer anywhere else.

For the Braves, it's easily the fact that we're owned by a media conglomerate in Colorado that sees us as an investment property and a spreadsheet that won't give our front office the payroll to go after big time free agents.

Profits are high, the Battery at the new ball park is packed every damned day, baseball season or not, but here we are less than a week from pitchers and catchers reporting, and our current payroll is 21 million dollars less than last year's payroll.

We're gonna be turned into the east coast's version of the A's. Build up the farm system, contend for a few years, sell everything off, rebuild for a few years, and repeat the cycle over and over.

If someone has a video of the Liberty Media CEO saying something racist or has evidence of a sexual assault committed by him 30 years ago, it would be awesome if you could release so hopefully they get the Donald Sterling treatment.
I can't stand Liberty Media. Its obvious now that AA and Terry McGuirk are talking out of their ass when they say we have the money to buy big but why do that now? Uhh maybe because you won the division last year, you've got good, young players for cheap right now and just need a few additions to get over the hump....

But nah let's downgrade at RF and C this year while the Phillies and Mets surpass us and we pocket millions from SunTrust and the Battery

You mean like Turner Field was. I went to a game there I want to say in 1998 and it felt like I was walking through a circus to get to the field

Turner Field was a nightmare. Lots of great memories there as a kid but I'm so glad they moved from Turner Field...talk about a dump

Nelson Cruz not doing it for you?

Become a Pirates fan for a couple years. It would completely alter your perception of cheap.

That Prince Fielder, Justin Verlander, Jordan Zimmerman, Nick Castellanos and Miggy are the only guys that will cost more to the payroll than Tyson Ross in 2019. Two already aren't there, another will be gone before August.

That sucks.

Having next to no talent on the position player horizon isn't very cool either.

Thought the bottom might be this September, for awhile. I've given up on that. Maybe next September...

i would say I was sorry, but my pure unadulterated hatred of the Tigers stops me. Yes I am still upset about 1984, and Rooftop Thompson hitting a game winning homerun on Monday Night Baseball.
