Way too mediocre. Gonna be tough to finish lower than third in the division.
Rooting for another top pick.
Im not sure if they'll sell Fulmer yet. They could. But he's just scratching the surface.Getting Mize is gonna be a game changer.
Time to sell Fulmer as well.

Selling a fourth or fifth year pitcher who has passed 200 innings or Atleast 30 starts in a season would catch a better haul than a third year guy. Could tie him to Castellanos next year. Or with Miggy whenever they find a dance partner on that contract. (Which may never happen.). Four more years of control with him. But I guess it's a fine line between what he's proven and remaining cheap control.
Really need Iglesias to hit well enough for someone to caugh up a Blevel guy from A ball. Same with Liriano and Greene. Not really a large group left to deal. Martin too. Even if it's a 7th inning guy in low A. This and next year need to be about losing and trading. Lol
I'm happy with the Yanks record but Boone still worries me. The pen isn't as good as expected with Betances sucking and a few injuries. This road trip (Just swept the Angles and the Stros, Red Sox and Cleveland coming up) should tell us something about them. Sonny Gray is awful. The offense is really turning it on even missing a couple of starters along with Stanton and Sanchez not on top of their games yet.
Judge looks like last year might not have been a fluke and Andujar is on fire. Drury is going to have a tough time getting in the like up.
I don't think Judge is a fluke, but considering his size and him being older than both Harper and Trout, if you get anything more than 5 great years out of him, consider it house money. But for the moment, he's one of the best in the bigs. But he should already have 3-4 seasons under him, it's kind of ridiculous that this is his sophomore season.
In 1st place in the AL west.
Leads MLB in team ERA.
7th in team batting average.
The pitching has been pretty consistent, the hitting isn't what I expected. If the pitching holds and the hitting improves, I like what I see.
Will get a better idea this week against the Yankees
There's some talent still coming up that should make the team better.
Marwin should probably just be the 1B when Tucker comes up.
No, that's my man Yuli's spot.
But Gonzalez is "My Favorite Marwin" as us Astors fans like to say.
Right now, the Astros only have 2 players batting over .300 Altuve (.351) & Correa (.320). Hopefully that turns around. Not overly concerned, just something to keep an eye on.
I lived through 3 100 loss seasons in a row, so I will definitely take 19-10.
He has four more years of control. But he's cheap and has another year of cheap control.
That's the value.
