It's clear Sam Hinkie wants to rebuild, hence trading Jrue, but in return we got Nerlens and a 2014 first rounder from the Pelicans. Not to mention we still have assets such as Thad Young and Evan Turner, who both may (I said may) fetch a first round pick. Rumor had it that the Kings offered pick 7 and Cousins for pick 11 and Thad Young but the Sixers said no. We know that the Sixers will be bad next year, perhaps historically bad, but what do you make of their offseason and their future?

I think the Noel trade was genius. Holiday is a good player, but he turns the ball over way too much and he doesn't shoot particularly well from the perimeter. He is a a nice piece to have, but not the type of player you can build a franchise around. The haul they received is far more than Holiday is worth.

The best part is that Noel is not ready yet, so like you say, they may be historically bad, and this is a good year to do so. I think they should go ahead and trade Thad and maybe Turner too. If the Kings were ready to part with Cousins, maybe they would give their 2014 1st rounder for Thad instead? I think that is still going to be a low lottery pick (10-13) in all likelihood.

They're blowing it up in the best way you can. You can grade their offseason next June if they end up with 2 top 10 picks.

Plus MCW is a solid PG prospect.

This sucks. This mean the Heat will never get that 1st round pick we would've gotten if Philly made the playoffs at least once in the next 3 seasons.
