I've suspicioned (see West Side Story) for some time that Poles, currently sitting with 10 picks, might seek a trade DOWN early in this draft. I mentioned two groupings for such consideration: Picks 53, 61, 64 and picks 133, 136, 148. In each of those two groups, Poles could bundle a couple of them to move up, assuming he has a specific player who's still on the board and of course a willing trade partner. An example would be bundling our 61 & 64 for a pick in the 34-36 range. This is going by the draft value chart, nothing is set in stone, but it does provide a basic guideline. Of course he'd do even better if he was willing to substitute #53 for one of the others. My gut is telling me (with the quantity of signings we've made now in FA to fill holes) that we're going to end up having 2 picks in the 9-35 range. We will either via trade down with the 9 to the teens then back up...or just using what we have and trade up while keeping the 9. Those two picks will be an olineman and a dlineman. We are getting the filler. We want QUALITY on the line and we'll give up a little to get it.
But back to more trading down, I also thought if one of the big 4 QBs was still hanging around when we're on the clock, there are two candidates who might be interested in moving up to snag him: the Titans at #11, and the Commanders at #16. Not sure what kind of booty a trade with the Titans would bring. Possibly a 3rd rd or perhaps a '25 2nd rd. Should be able to squeeze a little more out of the Commanders, maybe their 2nd and a 7th, something along those lines.
