That clause in his contract is essentially a poison pill to any trade unless we send significant dollars with him. So i expect him here two more years. The fact that a lot of the other contracts are gone makes him a little less of an anchor going forward. I'm hopeful he's found something that will at least make him competent to watch going forward

I think he may have a pipeline to the milkshakes the Yankees are drinking.

So, if Kyle somehow keeps up his pace over the last 33 gaems, to the end of the season, here is how his final stats would stack up:
63 runs
107 hits
25 doubles
27 homeruns
76 RBI
46 walks
.277/.352/.557/.909

As of today he has a career high in SLG and second highest career in OPS. If he continues this pace he will have career highs in both SLG and OPS by a huge, huge margin. WTF is going on here?

Of course, in the finest of Mariner traditions, the breakout player will be traded away for little to nothing in return.

Never thought about him juicing but who knows? It would surprise the hell out of me if he was doping but maybe when you get desperate enough you'll reach for anything to make it happen.

Is it just me or does anyone else think Seager has put some pounds back on? Was watching a couple of his AB's in Friday's game and it looks like he's getting his "fat" ass back. Just curious if anyone else thinks he's gained some of that weight back??

He did get a bomb today after fanning the first 3 AB's. I was beginning to think that the real Seager had returned. I'll wait and see how he does with the sox and stros b4 I throw in the towel again with Seager. :noidea:

Well, he's finally cooled off but it's probably because opponents have decided he is legit and are now pitching around him. In the last 9 games he is only hitting .161 but his OBP is .316.

Yeah, I think we all figured he would probably slack off at some point. Enjoyed the ride while it lasted. Kinda like the roller coaster at the fair-all the peaks and valleys and then the ride ends. :pound:You pay the price if you want to ride it again. :D

Don't know what will end up happening with Seag but he's up'd his offense and could be looking more attractive, but the bucks and the contract the M's have with him have messed that up. So will he be the 3rd bagger in 2020? How would that play into the "rebuild"? The young guys coming up are playing for a decent future for the M's. Jerry's just got to get some seasoned arms in there if he's gonna make any kind of post season run by 2021. Marco is the "ace"....and that's not saying a whole hell of a lot. It's gonna be a do or die time for Dipoto & co. Hope things start to gel next season cuz this season has sucked except for watching the young talent making their bids.
