Right which is why I said he is a great fit for you guys. If you draft him I see him easily being a thousand yard rusher this next season. If we draft him not quite as optimistic that happens. I do worry though with him that he is an Alabama RB. For the most part Alabama RB's have really struggled at times especially with staying healthy because they get so used and abused in college. So I do wonder what kind of window you are looking at with having him healthy. But hey every player has a similar risk so who knows. Can't deny the talent though that Henry has.
Normally I worry about Bama running backs too. But Henry seems to be a different breed. I cant say I can compare his game to any other Bama backs. I watched A lot of his games and footage during the heisman run. He definitely earned it. Out of the RB's last year I thought he was the most impressive. I like Zeke and he will be A good pick for the cowboys. I don't think he was as bad a pick as some people said running behind that dallas line. And I agree Henry could excel in the Raiders system or another system he fits. Out of all the backs in college football last year I thought McCaffery was A bit over rated. I caught flack for questioning whether or not he actually broke Sanders record. His stats were padded by playing extra games. And he played against some pretty weak defenses. The only solid defense McCaffery played was Northwestern and he was awful vs them. Henry lit up the nations top defense Wisconsin. I would be weary drafting McCaffery when he declares for the draft.

Yeah that's the knock on Bama RBs.. But HENRY 6.3 247 of solid rock!! He's built to take a beating.. Now im not saying he's our pick, but i wouldn't mind us drafting him.. Power run RB.. Who you guys drafting??

I actually agree that McCaffrey will probably be overdrafted when he declares. He looks like a better fit in college than in the pros. The best thing he has going for him at least NFL wise is his versatility of being able to play RB, WR, and play special teams. So at least you are getting a guy that can help out many different ways. Still Henry to me will be the better of the two in the pros. Like I said though I do worry about injuries. He is a bit taller than you like a RB to be which means more shots to the legs than the shorter RB's that play. Can his legs handle the abuse is my biggest question?

As I said to Clark I don't question is huge build being able to take the abuse. I worry way more about his legs. Kind of like we see with Gronkowski for the Patriots teams will really go for the legs knowing hitting them high won't take them down. Gronkowski has suffered a lot of lower body injuries since coming into the league so while he is a huge talent when healthy you always have to worry every season of when the big hit to his legs will happen ending his season.

As for who are we drafting...I honestly can see us go a lot of different directions. I can see us go Safety if either Von Bell or Sean Davis make it to our pick. I can see us go OL with Spriggs, Whitehair, Clark, and Westerman still on the board.

I can see us go DL as that position has a ridiculous number of talented players left like Reed, Robinson, Jones, Kaufusi, Billings, Bullard, and Dodd all still on the board.

Heck I could see them go TE if Hunter Henry is there to pair with their new QB. I also could see them go after Shepard if he happens to fall to us as I do know the Broncos are really high on the kid and love that he adds to special teams.

So going to be a fun day to see which direction they all go.

The thing that worries me with McCaffery is the combination of. The Offensive line and personal he is playing with at Stanford. And the defenses he has faced in the PAC. A large chunk of his yardage and TD's were the result of two games vs USC. The SC defense was awful last year. Possibly the worst tackling, positioning and defensive play calling I've seen from USC in a long time. The rest of the PAC wasn't much better. I think McCaffery only totaled 60 yards and A fumble vs northwestern. I wasn't that impressed with the other defenses he faced aside from Iowa. But Iowa was pretty dejected after falling short of the playoffs in the B1G CCG vs MSU. I cant see him excelling as A starting RB I agree he may fill a special teams player/specialist role at the next level

Yeah I am out of here for a while as well. Spent way too much time on here as is with being so excited that for once the Broncos picked the exact guy I was hoping they would. Probably should actually do some work today.

I remember probably my least favorite draft not so much because of who we picked but because I just knew you guys would luck into Mack. I did not sleep well that night just hating that my favorite player went to the Raiders. Throw in the kid is hard to hate. He is just such a great guy on and off the field.

So nice to make up for that by getting my guy this year. Cannot wait for tonight to see what all happens! Love the draft and just imagining the potential of what could be because of the decisions made on these 3 days.
