Ain't that just grand dude.. Reggie Nelson is a ball hawk!! And a welcome addition to the Silver and Black!!

We upgraded CB with Smith and FS with Nelson, a nice replacement for Woody.

For sure DJ.. We sending big pressure, with what could be a lock down secondary!! And you can add a beastly S that we will draft as well.. And that's just the D side of the ball, we ain't talking O yet.. Dang!!

We need to add some defensive help (another CB and a S, maybe a DE as well since we only have 3 on the roster), and a WR (we only have 5 on the roster) and a RB as well to provide some depth. The RB could be in the later rounds.

The good news there DJ is this draft is deep on the D side of the ball.. Anything you want as far as D players goes are in this draft.. A smart GM will be plucking D talent in all rounds in this draft..

I'm getting really excited about this upcoming the season.....the last few offseasons were okay at the time but looking back......the veterans we signed were retreads......this time we got a lot of guys smack dab in their playing prime.

Heck Ya!! And the AFCW is a stake.. We signed 4 of the top 32 FAs from this class this year!! All beastly players man, and more importantly system fits.. Nelson is the Vet, but the dude is a ball hawking Pro Bowl thumper that will mentor our young S we draft this year.. Ya we coming to take the AFCW!!

KC took a pretty big hit to their D this year, but i still think they will have a good D.. KC will win more games from the O side of the ball, more than the D side this year imo..
And Denver seems like a mess right now imho.. Oh they will still have a good D but it won't carry them this year, no no no!! And imho the Bolts will be way better this year than last year.. Like night and day..
Man, how wild would it be if the RAIDERS and Bolts were to fight it out for the division!!

I wouldn't mind trading down a bit, it's a real deep draft.. Hopefully Lynch is there at 14?? And we open for biz!!
We don't don't have any major holes on the team, so picking up a an extra 2 would be great!!

We brought in a guy that has started the last 3 years on a quality DL in Jared Crick to replace Malik Jackson. So that would mean that on defense we only have one position that doesn't have a starter quality player and that is the position Trevathan left but we also drafted some young players we really like and will see what they have. Otherwise one of the best defenses of the last 15 years returns 9 of the 11 starters. The offense still has 2 Pro Bowl WR's, a new OL, a Pro Bowl RB.

So really the only way you can say we are a mess right now is because we are not sure who the starting QB will be. I don't call having one position be a question mark being a "mess." Especially when that team has won the division now 5 straight seasons and not all of that being just because of Manning.

This is how the outside world sees it, or at least me anyways..

You go from HOF SB winning QB PM and his promising backup Oswieler who went 5-2 for you guys, and looked like the future and continued trend of good QB play for you guys to Sanchez!! The guy that has been the joke of the league for some years now.. Now could Sanchez play good for you guys?? Sure he can!! Im just saying how it looks as of now..

Then you have Elway trying to low ball Kap, by telling him to take a huge hit just so he could play for his team..Cmon man!!
Kubaik reaching out to the toxic Manziel, be it for whatever?? You need QB bad and Manziel is on the market, how does that look like everybody else but Denver fan?? Then Manziel coming out saying he is roommates with SB MVP Miller.. SMH on that one.. Miller wanting 20 to 25 M per, while dancing with the stars!!
Taking a huge hit on the D side of the ball.. Picking up injury prone Okung..

The thing is though this is how it is seen by you...not the entire outside world. In fact a lot of analyst are seeing it as Elway being a very good business man and not being like many teams and going and overspending on mediocre or even good talent. He spends his money only on the great to elite talent.

Now Osweiler by many is viewed as a mediocre QB. He played below average this past season. Yes he made some decent throws here and there but so have a lot of terrible QB's. Not someone you go and spend $18 million a year on when they have proven so little.

As for Kaepernick why should the Broncos overpay him either. I mean not like they are in some bidding war with another team right now. Paying any more for him would be just raising the price against yourself. So to me this is smart business to hold out and wait for the better price instead of panicking and overpaying for something you can get much cheaper a few weeks later. How is that looking bad to the outside world?

Okung by almost all was considered a complete steal for the price we got him. He was the #1 rated OT hitting the market this off season and most figured with all the crazy money getting thrown around he would get something in the $10-12 million a year mark. Instead with the Broncos he got $5 million with none of it guaranteed. Yes he has injury concerns but he is replacing a guy with even worse injury concerns. For the price we got him at he is worth the risk.

Also Miller is not wanting $25 million a year. $20 million has been the top price I have heard and right now his side is at $20 million a year and the Broncos are at $18 million. Not as far apart as some think they could be. I think they actually get a deal done in the next month. While that contract obviously hurts some cap wise down the road to me if the Broncos operate under a rookie QB then they should be fine.

Also just so you don't think I am making some of this up...This is what one of the top NFL analyst in the country had to say about Elway and how this off season is going. "It's refreshing in this world of nervous, reactive NFL front offices to see a team operate as fearlessly and successfully as the Denver Broncos have with John Elway."

The Broncos because they have such an established FO/Coaching Staff don't have to make panic moves. They can wait it out and not overpay for talent.
