Sigh. I wish I would have said all of my stubs. Saw so many great concerts in my younger years. Wish I would've seen Maiden. Damn I bet they cooked.

Johnny Winters rocked the house. Saw a concert with him and brother Edgar. Saw him in a little club in Brew Town a month before he passed. Ho could hardly walk and was seated throughout the set but didn't affect his playing. Best white blues guitarist and slide guitarist IMO.

Never developed a love for heavy metal or whatever the hell you wanna call it. The closest I came to one of those concerts would’ve been deep purple in about 1975. Because I was a nose picker then and I loved smoke on the water. But as you grow up, your tastes get more refined and you find you kind of like buffalo Springfield, Crosby, stills, Nash and Young Etc.
Never got to see Little Feat with or without Lowell George but I would’ve loved to see them.

Blondie, Boomtown Rats, Graham Parker, Ramones, Heart, ELO, Burning Spear, Toots and the Maytalls, Zappa and his Mothers, the Tubes, Devo, Clapton, Young, solo Jack White, North Mississippi All Stars, Tedeschi Trucks, Plant’s Band of Joy.

I saw him with Rick Derringer. Awesome.

But watching his sfuff on YouTube I learned that even though that band did the best ever Jumping Jack Flash, that his stuff not do rocking but more bluesy was even better.

Not being a huge fan of synthesizer music I didn’t really like Edgars contributions to things. Never like Manfred Mann in the Earth band, I didn’t really care about overly much about the Moody, blues and people like that. Didn’t really care about yes that much but I had the obligatory albums.

Agreed. Didn't really care for Edgar's music but he could blow a mean sax. Went more to see his brother.

I was in the local cool record store in 1970/71 and the salesman in the cool record store who happened to be the coolest guy in town (and eventually became a writer for the Vancouver, underground newspaper, the Georgia Straight) to buy Johnny Winter And Live. I’ve never regretted it.

Not a lot of Gen X lists yet, but lots of love for those who saw the likes of Zeppelin, Pink Floyd & Stevie Ray Vaughan. I am extremely jealous.

Ok here goes…

Black Crowes-probably 25 times, or more
Stone Temple Pilots 3-4 times(once with Cheap Trick opening that was particularly memorable)
Oasis
Soundgarden
Van Halen-1991(with Alice In Chains opening)
Pearl Jam-many times
Smashing Pumpkins
Phish-many many times
Billy Joel/Elton John their first time touring(94?)
Tom Petty
Beastie Boys
Nine Inch Nails
Stevie Wonder
Jane’s Addiction
Bad Company
Widespread Panic
Allman Brothers
Temple of the Dog-their only tour ever
Rolling Stones
Neil Young
REM
Guns N Roses

The list goes on and on….

I took my wife, daughter and daughter in law to see Fleetwood Mac last week. I was preparing for a let down considering the last time I saw them was in 77 for the Rumors tour but was pleasantly surprised on the overall quality of their performance. Hard to believe that they are all in the late 60's - early 70's and still being able to rock like that.

Anyway, it got me to thinking. I have been very blessed to see many of the "super groups" in their prime during my lifetime and was wondering what are your favorite concerts of all time

My list in no particular order

Pink Floyd (77 tour)
Yes 25th Anniversary Tour
David Bowie 87 tour - he played the top 25 songs requested by the fans to his website
The Rolling Stones in 75 at Chicago Stadium
Billy Joel/Elton John "Piano Men" tour
Bob Seger 2006 tour
Led Zeppelin 1973 tour
Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy and Robert Cray (SRV last concert:hurt:)
The Doobie Brothers 73 at Summerfest
Genesis 78 at Summerfest

I have so many concerts to choose from but these are the ones that stand out
Wiggles
Hanna Montana
Justin Bieber
Glass Animals
Dua Lipa
Weird Al Yankshisdick
Ice Nine Kills
Ke$ha
Kinky Friedman
The Jets

Jimmy Buffet - Atlanta mainly because Fats Domino opened for him that concert.
Jimmy Buffet - Charlotte x 2
Jimmy Buffet - Raleigh in the pouring rain, ok deluge.
Blood Sweat and Tears - Riverbend Festival Chattanooga 1988
Eagles x3 - Probably my favorite was in Greenville SC
Doobie Brothers
Tina Turner
Elton John
Buckwheat Zydeco, hell of a great concert in a small venue, probably the overabundance of beer
Huey Lewis and the News - Munich 1988 - Memorable because Melissa Ethridge opened, which explains why my buddy and I couldn't get any of the paired up ladies to talk to us. And my first concert where alcohol was served, gotta love them Germans and their beer.
