Was absolutely HOOKED on Battlefield Vietnam. Spent months of my life on the Siege of Khe Sanh map. I could fly that F4 Phantom upside down under the bridge.

This game had no save feature. I'd have to leave the NES on all day while I was at school. Several years later, PS1 came out with an update that I enjoyed as well.

I was in the Rite Aid last weekend and they had this throwback Atari console that looked like the old 2600 system. It was under 50 bucks. They had them all behind the checkout counter so I couldn't get a good look, but I might just go back and buy one... for my kids.

You know, for the kids to play...seriously.

I've seen those they are cool all the games are already load and it is plug and play.

Top Gun I believe.

Was it actually called that? I thought it was at least a Top Gun rip off. Fun game, and the carrier landing was frustrating at times.

I got it. It is frustrating as hell. Games are damn hard, and the responsiveness is almost non existent.

On we used to play this quite a bit N64. I'd let these Jamacian guy's down the hall borrow it and they would freakin' be yelling and screaming at the top of thier lungs.

We played this one in the dorms till the game melted.

We had a N64 in my dorm room as well. I had 3 roommates who were all best friends from high school, and I was the odd man out, also as the odd man out, I liked to go out to parties and drink like a fish while they all preferred to sit in that dorm room and smoke more pot than Snoop and Willy Nelson combined. And the whole time they would play either Goldeneye or if high enough they would play rainbow road on Mario Kart. I would sometimes sit with them and play Goldeneye, since it was a cool game and it was my dorm room, but I would get so frustrated that I usually quit within 4-5 games. They played License to kill (no oddjob) one shot kills. Play to 20 I think it was. The scores would usually be 18, 20, 19, 2. With the 18, 19, and 20 going out randomly amongst them and the 2 or sometimes 3 going to me. I was fully convinced I was terrible at that game.

Then the Greek system organized a fraternity wide Goldeneye championship. Two guys from each fraternity invited. So first we had a playoff at my fraternity house to get to those 2. I knew I was terrible, but like I said, it was a fun game. So I entered it. By the time I hit 20 kills the most anyone had in a game against me was 5 kills. They had to do a separate tournament to find the second best guy in our group because it wasn't fair if I was in the game against them. Then we played the other 16 fraternities on campus. And the second best guy from my group was the second best player in the Greek system. I won $200 for being first. Then i got to play the all campus tournament winners, which was held in the rec rooms on the first floor of every dorm. I won that too. Best Goldeneye player on the Central Michigan Campus. $500 total. Went back to my room and scored 1 kill in 3 games total.

I always wondered if the 3 guys in my room, plus their one friend who smoked and usually played the fourth spot with them were the only people on campus too busy playing Goldeneye to sign up to play Goldeneye, or if every pothead on that campus was better than me, and I was just the best of the 20% on that campus who disnt smoke weed all day every day.
