2018 OFFENSIVE LINES | Football Outsiders

The Bills ranked similarly to the Browns in pass pro this year, and weren't close to being the worst OL in pass pro in the NFL. Stop acting like you guys had five dudes in a wheelchair blocking, it wasn't that bad.

Watch Jordan Mills and Jon Miller then get back to me. Stats lie. When Mills is on his tits, it's only scored negatively, if something bad happens. We couldn't even run right this year...normally Mills at least could do that in years prior.

Games. Not box scores.

Here is the difference. I don't care. It's irrelevant. I love Beane. Love. He has nailed nearly every pick. Our defense is stout. Biased opinions are not fact.

Every pick for the last couple years? They haven't had a pro-bowler since 2012. I think they do have a solid defense. They don't have much around Allen but with Allen it isn't about the stats, just like with Baker, it's about the eye test. If he couldn't make those throws in college, what assumes he can make them now, in the NFL? It actually is a worry about his completion pct for the fact that's what his biggest knock coming into the draft, was his accuracy.

The 3 biggest things I see that stand out for Allen:

Redzone accuracy
Deep ball accuracy
Pressured completion (this is a big one)

Of course he is a project but someone saying he has more upside than a QB that is known for his accuracy, when Allen is exactly the opposite. History isn't in his favor, he does have potential no doubt. But when you see the inconsistency over and over...it really is a problem.

Right. Cleveland lost a generational LT and had a revolving door there for much of the regular season, too. Good QBs figure it out.

Again I’ve watched him pros and college, he’s got talent, he’s also inaccurate,

Besides cam, I can’t think of a successful inaccurate passer.

He's extremely raw and far from being ready to be a winning NFL QB. I'm sure they'll upgrade the talent around him, but he has to be able to learn consistency. A 52% completion clip with not that many drops doesn't really lend itself to immediate success. Running QBs only ever have good careers when they can also pass.

Nailed every pick? Good point, biased opinions are not fact.

Tre White (a top corner)
Tremaine Edmunds (best 20 year old LB of all time)
Harrison Phillips (the next Kyle Williams)
Matt Milano (excellent tackler, great coverage LB)
Wyatt Teller and Dion Dawkins (the only reason our O line can grade comparatively to others)
Zay Jones (men, bipolar, good #3)
Taron Johnson (great nickel, top five rated rookie who played with a separated shoulder most of the year)

Couple of other depth choices in secondary who have impressed.

Levi Wallace (udfa) sured up opposite side of White.

Yes, nearly every pick has paid of positively.

Oh, and Nate Peterman! Hey, I did say "nearly".

Not saying he's Marino. But the difference in his first six vs his last six is palpable. Can't wait for his next six.

2012? He's only been here for two years....and Kyle Williams is a five time pro bowler...three of which came after 2012.

That's a bit different than "nailed every pick". That was my point.

Agreed. But again 4 of those six games he was 50% completions or less. And under 55% 5 of 6. It was a lot of legs

He also strives for big plays more than most. Refusing the check down and hitting the first down.

I've defended Tyrod for doing the opposite...hence, giving the illusion of a better comp %...but was it, really...better? I can absolutely say, no it wasn't in reality...just on paper.

His progression as a passer as the year went on was pretty minimal, but they did a good job of utilizing his feet. The only game in his final 6 that he looked like a somewhat coherent passer was yesterday against a horrible Miami defense. In the other 5, he completed 49% of his passes for 5 TDs and 6 INTs.

Again with the numbers. 18/33 is the same as 22/33 from the QB perspective when four drops are on the receivers.

55% doesn't scare me...especially when it could easily be 66%. It is irrelevant for evaluation on the thrower.

You brought up 8 guys and Buffalo has had 14 picks. He's had some nice picks and some whiffs.

ALL of the whiffs are late picks...and there are only two...with a couple not yet proven otherwise.

He just traded up twice in the first round and didn't give up any future 1sts...because he traded down twice two years ago and still got the best corner that year.

My point of course is not to prove anything to you, other than the irrelevance of your GM rankings.
