But Spo has adjusted his coaching/system to how the game is played today and the pieces he had to work with.

historical fact on that. It was a marketing gimmick from essentially the early Cowboys brain trust. in my experience though with Cowboys fans i know, they take it as Gospel. they TRULY believe that the country favors them. luckily not ALL Cowboys fans are that arrogant...

The offensive system wasn’t why they won. They won because of their defense, Phil’s ability to get stars to play more together without ego and because they had more talent than everyone else.

I think a different system may have helped in the couple of seasons before they got Pau. He also insisted the Knicks run the triangle when he was the GM.

Pretty sure the latter was what mattered the most. Guessing you saw Pippen beg out of the last play in a playoff game because he was not getting the last shot...guess Phillip forgot how to reach him on that one to play together.

That play actually illustrates what an amazing job Phil did.

Pippen had a huge ego and he hated management. But he showed up and played at an extremely high level anyway in almost all instances.
