People use that “asterisk” comment to try and diminish whatever team’s title.

That isn’t what an asterisk means. That negative connotation is a made up thing by US sports fans.

There will be a asterisk by the 2021 season. Not because of injuries. Does not diminish what the Suns did any more than the eventual 2012 champion Heat or ‘99 champ Spurs were diminished.
