Wentz is in the playoffs this year and Mayfield missed them. Wentz is the playoff QB and Mayfield is not. Pretty simple concept to understand.

My bad. Didn't realize the Eagles made the playoffs. Didn't watch much NFL action yesterday.

Unless you remember it's a team sport and also each has played more than this season.

Is in or out of playoffs only barometer? LJ and Mahomes = Tannehill?

I picked Wentz before this season was even played. So obviously playoffs aren't my only barometer.

Nah...I think that was a fair comment. Baker needs to focus on how he can get better. No need to be such a douche.
its a fair comment on the overall culture, yes, but it also speaks to what he was brought into IMHO

Wentz and it's not close. A better thread would be Baker or Trubisky

If he stays will help if Dorsey starts thinking like a GM and not a fan. Don't just go for splash moves and name players. Locker room fit and maturity matters.

Really I don't have a huge issue with the OBJ trade it was the Vernon trade that sucked. The problem with the obj trade is kitchens basically giving him the summer off rather than worrying about him gelling with Baker.

Then for whatever reason Higgins fell off the face of the planet and njoku got hurt. Baker did better when he had a lot of good targets. Damion Ratley is trash for example. Obj was out of sorts... Again because we didn't bother with having him gel

I don't have a huge issue with it, but could have held onto Perriman (who had signed before OBJ deal was made) and taken DK Metcalf with our first rounder (or addressed the O-line).

Yea losing perriman ended up being big. The thing that stinks is he was also quite short sighted because he'd have been a solid number three all year with Callaway suspended and Higgins being banished for whatever reason we've yet to understand

Yep, the OL struggled.

No problem with OBJ really at all. I agree, it was a combo of things. OBJ never really gelled with Baker, part on OBJ but Kitchens did help.

I really would like Baker to get with a QB coach in the offseason but looks like he will not. We knew he was a guy that would take risks on throws but the accuracy was off this season even on easy throws. I know a lot has to do with the WR's and him being on the same page but I still thought his fundamentals just changed, again having Kitchens just made it worse in the end.

Baker definitely looked like he put on weight to me. He needs to work on that

But after he works on accuracy and poise.

He face weight caused a slight drift to his passes imo

I do think he's trying on saying the right things. He handled the Garrett thing better than the coach did.

Obviously he handled the taunting badly.

Not sure how this matters.
Wentz has a quality coaching staff.
Mayfield has unemployed coaching staff. (he might have had the worst coach this year)

One guy was 27/7 and the other 22/21 TD to INT and one guy has Jarvis Landry and OBJ and the other played without his starters a few times. Lol
