We will have to see if he is any good, and just hope.

We will find out if Goff is ready the 1st 2 weeks of regular season

Remember... Even Aaron Rogers sat 1 year under Favre. This is a desperate move if he starts day 1

I believe and have believed that wentz will be the much better player in the NFL.

I don't think I trust anyone who's been packin since 1919.. But I do think
Wentz has some toughness about him and I like that he scrambles and makes plays. But I don't know how accurate he is or how strong that arm is against D1 or NFL defenses.

I don't think either one is worth all the picks, but this wasn't a strong draft either.

We will see if Goff is better than the 3rd round QB we took last year come late August.

Can you imagine a 1st round QB sitting 3 years now?

I don't think that we really know what our 3rd round QB can do being as they have not let him play yet. With the addition of Goff, I wonder just what Mannions position is on the team.

He's the future back up if he keeps his roster spot. If he does well enough, he's trade bait.

So either he'll never play or we'll trade him for something lower than the 3rd rounder we drafted him as? Sounds about right...pretty much

I doubt it LTRF. Outside of No. 8's rookie season, I can't remember the last time a Rams' QB started and finished a season. So if we eventually cast off Foles and Kneenum he may get playing time soon enough.

As far as trade value, you never know. Unfortunately, he'll likely have to impress during the season (which would mean a Goff injury to put him on the field) to really drive up his value. Preseason could do that to some extent as well.

Not sure who is better at yearly college stat wise...Goff OR Mannion. Goff has better wheels for sure, but that's about it as both have rocket arms. Mannion had better college stats and left the PAC12 w/ alltime records.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Mannion come in and light it up! IMO, carrying a clip board does a qb good!

I'd be surprised to see Mannion light it up, but it won't surprise me if he looks as good or better than Goff. He was no slouch in the Pac 12 but again, not quite the defensive conference as the SEC or even ACC or Big 10. Mannion needs some time in the pocket and that's just something that doesn't happen much in the NFC West.

Hundley would have been nice. Oh well. We definitely have some young competitors that will go
At it and that's good.

Yep, I'm not getting it, Mannion lit up the PAC 12 and sat and learned the Ram system for a year, yet he's not ready, Goff lit up the PAC 12 and he's considered our Franchise QB and is ready now! PAC 12 is not a good defensive conference, are either of these guys that good? As I said earlier Bradford, McCoy, and Harrell lit up a bunch of bad college defenses in the Big 12 how did that work out for us?
I would have rather kept our picks and rolled the dice with , or just picked Lynch at 15.
Oh well, go Goff go! sis boom bah, rah rah rah

Don't forget, which is even worse, Goff hasn't played directly under center since he was 14 years old...

I sincerely hope that Mannion comes out and is just dominant in camp and the preseason enough to make Snisher look like the collective hacks they both are!!!

I wholeheartedly agree with all of you. I was a Fisher fan for the first half of a season then couldn't wait for the day that he leaves. I don't understand a lot of the decisions that they make but being as they don't ask for my opinion, there is not much I can say. I also didn't understand a lot of the draft taking a QB #1 when we have basically the same guy holding a clipboard, BUT...I do think at some point we need to stop the negativity and start standing behind our team and looking forward to what could happen. It IS possible that if GOFF is the real deal that we could actually make it to the playoffs. Sure Arizona is still high powered but SF and Seattle are not what they were even a couple of years ago. I say GO RAMS!!

What's up Raminator, good to hear from you again!

I'm with you man, it is possible that Goff is the real deal. We struck pay dirt with Todd and Aaron why not Jared and maybe one of these receivers?

And as far as Zona goes, that starting QB over there is getting long in the tooth bro. (36yo)

Here's their No. 2 QB's stats!

Stanton career (2008-2015)
Comp % 54.6
Total yds 2,973
TD's 12
Int's 16
QBR 69.1

Stanton Last Year
Comp % 44.0
Total yds 104
TD 0
Int's 2
QBR 22.8

And he's not that young either at 32!
