A useful idiot.
Lol the shocks had no spring whatsoever. They were coiled solid steel
Yeah... I could see that being a bit of a rough ride.

I know i'm older than most here but did any other people ever put balloons or baseball/football cards in the spokes? This is where my story gets sad....I don't know what it's worth but I put a Joe Namath football card in mine and people tell me that was NOT smart !! I don't remember if it was a rookie care (It may have been) but it was damn early in his career.
I feel terrible shame.
We played topsies and flippsies with our cards ... I think putting cards in bike spokes was a 1940's thing
/muhahahaha

It's a game like Scrabble where they add unnecessary vowels to words for points.
It's only played in Canada from what I've heard...
No, but I remember others doing it. We had plastic things we put on our spokes. Some glowed in the dark. It was like the coolest thing ever.
YesSo do you ride dirt tracks?
YesSkate parks?
You need to get a GoPro and post some vids!
Can not find a picture of it... but I had the Schwinn Predator Rock-n-Roll Purple... roller seat, white mags, front flip up pegs, and back pegs... I forget the rotor... still have it in my folks' basement.
Also skated with a Vision skateboard... Johnny Cop (sp? as I can not find one online)... didn't skate much, so it's in mint condition.. slimeball wheels.. I forget the trucks...
This brough back a bunch of memories. I remember I had a Santa Cruz Rob Roskopp "Ugly Face" skateboard with Independent trucks and Christinan Hasoi wheels. I wouldn't have remembered any of that without the prompt above and had no idea that was hidden in my memory banks. Probably because I saved up FOREVER to buy it as a kid. What a waste of perfectly good memory in my brain.

These games were at the height of popularity during the years when gretzky, messier, coffey, and bourque rookie cards were releasef
Yep; I did the cards.
Never heard of doing it with balloons: How did that work?
Yes
Rays mountain bike park in Cleveland. And my most recent bike.
You baller, you. That looks...hmmm.... radical!
Don't give me too much credit, I cased the landing and two guys behind me passed me and I missed my transfer to the main in my first and only grand national event. That was a loooong flight home from St Lou.
But I *did* get in a magazine.
