Well right now either Musgrave or McCoy for OC. There is a small chance that McCoy could be OC and Musgrave could be QB's coach. Which if that happens Bronco fans should be rejoicing in the streets that a 1st time HC could get such a haul on the staff.

Even if we just get one both had top-10 offenses this past season and both actually had some of the more balanced systems between run and pass.

Beyond that I am hearing the Assistant OL Coach from Miami stands a good chance to be our OL coach and I've heard pretty good things about him. He could also be bringing Chris Kuper back into the fold as he was on the Dolphin's coaching staff.

There is talk that some of the old staff could be kept. Knapp and Studesville are the two main ones being talked about keeping on the offensive side of the ball.

On defense sounds like Joe Woods, Bill Kollar, and Regiie Herring are all being kept. All worked with Vance Joseph before. In fact Joseph actually called up Kubiak to recommend Joe Woods for the Secondary Coach when Kubiak was hired. Told him the guy will be a special coach in this league. Now he is thought of as one of the biggest up and coming Coordinators.

Report I just got says Mike McCoy to be hired as Broncos next OC..
Until it is official I won't get too excited, but lets make it official.

Which would be a great choice. One of his biggest strengths is his ability to understand the talent he has and how to use it. We won't be seeing the same force the system on the players and expect them to be able to handle it kind of thing like we did with Kubiak.

Also big thing to remember now is that McCoy runs a much more power blocking scheme than what Kubiak ever would have thought about. Could mean some interesting changes to the OL to find better players to fit what he wants to do. Also the nice thing is that a PBS is usually easier to learn and find quick production. ZBS usually takes a year or two. That should mean though that for sure the Right side of the OL is gone with Schofield and Stephenson. They were most likely gone either way but this for sure secures that in my opinion.

Garcia would be a better fit for a power scheme, no? We could pretty much cut Schofield, And Ty. No strength

I love the hire ... Vance has been involved in winning organizations, going to the playoffs with Houston, Cincinnati and Miami .. You cannot argue results, and the Dolphins have been neck and neck with the 9ers as the worst organizations over the past 5 years ....... The only stat regarding the Dolphins that matters this past season is that they turned a corner, and if you don't think that has anything to do with Vance Joseph, you are wrong ..

.. and I never thought Shanahan was a serious candidate, but Joseph's hire did make me breathe a sigh of relief

Welcome Vance Joseph! I must let you know that I was pulling for the Broncos to pick Kyle Shanahan but I'll defer to the greatness of John Elway.....for now. The Hoop will be watching your every move closely, so make sure they're all good ones.

I have no doubt some of you would of got excited and tooted Chip Kelly getting gig :). Seems to me that this recent crush on DC's to HC jobs since Seattle crushed Denver in SB, hasn't panned out so well so far in NFL. Let's not get too giddy and impulsive till we see how things unfold. I personally don't know enough about the guy to start gushing all over the place and take to much stock into everything the media puts out there or the the articles from " associates" that wouldn't say anything derogatory about someone they worked with in past or present, till I see how things come together. I know enough about McCoy though that if he gets OC job that will be very beneficial to the offense and both qbs. Not saying Joseph won't be a great hire, just going to stay with the proverbial " let's wait and see " stance for now. Hope I didn't butt hurt anybody again. Odds are of course. :)

With you 100% I just remember how everyone loved Ball and Latimer as draft picks and J.D.R. as a defensive coordinator. Can't get to excited until some results are shown. Lots of work to be done on the offensive side of the ball no matter who the HC and OC is. Peace.

None of us are saying he is the next Bill Belichick but there is enough promise and football people out there saying this was/is a great hire for the Broncos. That is what gets me excited is when I hear so many past coaches/players/FO people saying this was a good move.

That doesn't mean he will turn out to be great but at this point I like so far what I have heard of him and of the staff that he is possibly bringing in. You are right we don't have much to go off of because he is a first time hire. Did you expect us all to be just doom and gloom though?

Just a heads up I was told today good chance Siemian is not on the roster next season. Conversations with the coaching candidates centered around developing Lynch not Siemian and then having a veteran backing him up.

I'm thinking probably a cheaper option. Brian Hoyer type QB they had starting experience but is better suited as a back up. Elway believes in Lynch like you wouldn't believe. He pounded the table like crazy to get this kid. He was very upset for the 2nd half of the season with the previous coaching staff and how they treated Lynch

CD, what do you think the reason is for not keeping Siemian, at least as a backup ??

Do they think they could get a draft pick for him, or, do they feel he isn't even suited to be a backup ??

Or would the distraction / morale / ego issue be an issue if they keep him ??

I like Siemian. I also want to see Trevor Lynch developed into a franchise quarterback if possible. They are both a cheap investment at the QB position. I would rather have both of them on the roster than dumping one and bringing in a veteran. IF Lynch can progress into the starting role, Siemian would be the perfect back up.

Maybe his trade value is highest right now. This whole coaching search seem to center around developing Lynch.

Danny Woodhead in our backfield next year. Not sure about his injury though.
