Game Thread: Week 8: Denver Broncos at Indianapolis Colts

The Broncos are coming off another embarrassing loss to the Chiefs, but have 10 days to get their minds right and work on trying to not shoot themselves in the foot. The Colts have a big game against the Texans tomorrow.

The Colts are a very run heavy team this year and that should give us a chance if the offense can do anything.

I am ready to start looking forward rather then looking back at Thursday’s game.

I will post rankings on Tuesday.

They Know 95% of our O is coming thought 1 gap and 2 gaps and if it don't see a RB we all meet at the sloth QB in the middle of the field 3 more yard back there.

We are have a kick ass staff. There should have been a more polished OC with a greenhorn head Coach that is more D minded. That said I am sure he will figure it out. Fangio I am sure has a clue that this needs to change because my god they were flooding 1,2 gap and killing us.

Can you point to one person on this site who is calling for the coaching staff to be hung? I haven’t seen a person calling for Vic or anyone to be fired.

Well, you guys are hammering players at least give players a year with the staff before you say they are bust. Why hire the best OL Coach only to quit on a first-round talented player that only played one year at LT in college.

We drafted him to develop him. If after a year with the best staff there is and the time we put into him he is not an LT you move him to G and try again drafting an LT.

But hell all I see is he sucks on several forums

This Forum to its credit is better. But I keep seeing the fire the GM BS and IMO that is nuts with were are with ownership.

This team has a problem with way to many changes yes I get why people want to start over but people need to understand. this staff will IMO get it done they are solid. That as a fan we should be happy about and lighten up.

Elway Hired Fangio because he wanted Shananans O Because you have to defend the whole field.

The two games that D was on it was a thing of beauty that is going to win a Heck of a lot of games given time.

We all know what is holding us back! HOF QBs don't grow on trees. Elway will find us one. That I believe.

I am not going to slam a negative thread anymore because got negative with the last staff. I still say you should earn a job by being the best at something. I still pulled for him after he was our coach.

I have hammered this staff as well when they needed it. I hope they learned 7 step drops when you have all-out blitzs called might not work out so well.

Even I - the resident optimist (I job I have to sometimes work hard for results) - believes the Broncos are out of the playoffs. I still want the Broncos to kick ass on the Colts.

We are only 2 games out of the last wild card spot and get to play the Texans. While it is an up hill battle to the playoffs the push can start today.

A win today and next week against the Browns and we are only 1 game below .500.

A bright side on offense so far is that the play calling is a bit more creative. The last 3 plays were not overly creative however.

When you get 2 free 1st downs you need to come away with 7. A bit frustrating that we ended up kicking a FG from inside the 10. Would have liked to see 1 run. I get the break tendencies, but a run there seems appropriate.

So James is out again. Sounds like he wasn’t 100% healthy to begin with.

Well just like against Jacksonville and Chicago, it all comes down to the defense and if they can hold out or not.

And so far it’s not looking good.

And the defense pretty much blows it with a blown sack and a horse collar tackle.

I guess we could hope for a Vinatieri miss but he’s already missed one and an extra point so he’s due for a good make.
