Regardless of what happens here, we simply give away too much... Penalties, mental mistakes and questionable play calls that set us back... Its there. There are flashes of it. But damn if we could just get out of our own way!!!
Troy Aikman is making some great points about this offense: Too many short passes, questionable play calling, and Jimmy Graham's pathetic route running.
Sad ending of course, but honestly I thought the Saints were gonna mop the floor with us today. Moral victories tho are for sissies. We had our shot and blew it.
Yep, The Bears have won enough to be out of position to draft a top tier QB and will lose enough to miss the playoffs. The worst position to be in when you need one.
And even if they do make it I don't see them winning a game? Not when you are dead last in running the bloody ball.
There are a lot of things to criticize, but perhaps the most frustrating thing is the repeated trainwreck third quarters. I would expect an offensive guru to be able to make some adjustments at the half, but week after week we look terrible coming out of half only to wake up in the fourth when we get desperate.
Even with all the issues, one can make a case that we would be 8-0 if we were as good in the third quarter as we are in the other three. That is on Nagy. I like Nagy as a culture guy, but he needs to bring in an actual offensive playcalling guru after this year if he wants to have any future here past 2021.
