He has lost the one thing that helped mask his lack of accuracy and ability to read defenses...his mobility. He is no threat to run since his injury. No they will not unless he plays smarter and it’s the right call IMO. I said he will earn or not earn his next contract this year and so far he hasn’t.
Two really poor decisions and throws on the interceptions. wasn't accurate tonight at all on a bunch of throws and just made poor decisions too. At this point in your career you have to know to just throw the ball away when you are outside of the pocket. You have to be aware of defenders who are in the area but not in man coverage on the guy you lock in on. He just doesn’t seem to be able to do what needs to be done on the mental side of the game. Just look at how Purdy seems to know where to go with the ball and then is able to complete the pass As well. you don’t need to have an arm like Herbert to succeed in this league. You have to be able to read a defense per and post snap and know where to throw it and just as importantly where not to throw it And you need to be able to complete the pass when it’s there
3 picks against a team with a pulse. 4 in 5 games. He is who he is. Against a good team, he has played like this for a few years. He will pad stats against mediocre teams and do what he does against teams that are good. He might play well against the Eagles since so familiar.Thats not on the OC. I don't give a crap. Stare down the receiver and never see the defender breaking im front of the ball. Terrible

For Quinn, he is going against one of the best offenses in football, and he lost possibly the best corner in the game. Add to that, our offense did absolutely zero to help the D. 3 and out, 3 and out, pick, pick, pick. I thought our defense at least fought hard in the first half. Our offense was non competitive. Totally overmatchedIs it really possible how wide open our defense allows their receivers to be on pretty much every play? I think Quinn was also taken to the woodshed by Shanahan tonight. I think running out 3 safeties game after game after game when Kearse is horrible in coverage and Wilson is average at best isn’t the way to go against some teams. It leaves you soft against the run and not really with a benefit of having extra cover guys because they don’t. It works when we get up and can unleash the pass rush but in close games it always seems to be a problem. I don’t think Kearse will be back next year. I was hoping we were going to see Mukuamu active tonight.
Hard to argue with this. There was a lot going on in that one but I finally have to cave, Dak is not capable of winning a Super Bowl. I'm not sure what changed from early in his career but he's just a terrible decision maker. There's times he has plenty of protection and he still makes the bad pass or throws into coverage. Going from never turning the ball over to what he is now, something is broken in this guy's brain.
That just seems like giving a pass to the ones we like and blaming the ones we don’t. The defense was not good At all. The pass defense was horrible and the run defense wasn't much better. We have seen this team multiple times recently and have done nothing differently to change the outcome. They both bullied us and outsmarted us and our defense is supposed to be the strength of this team. Where was our great pass rush? When Hankins is your best pass rusher it’s a statement. Until Quinn realizes there are times we need 3 real LBs on the field we will have issues in certain games and it started with not bringing in a LB who can play the run the last two off seasons. That’ll fix the defense…total ass whipping
i blame Dak and the fat guy.
Quinn needs to be promoted today
Dak made it a blow out. That’ll fix the defense…
When you get the lions share of credit for wins, you take the heat in losses. It comes with the QB territory. Purdy is making less than $4 million this season. Dak is making $40 million this year. Which guy earned their money?Dak made it a blow out.
this has always been our disconnect. I don't give a rats ass about the salary. When you get the lions share of credit for wins, you take the heat in losses. It comes with the QB territory. Man I don't dislike Dak, I think he is a great kid. My argument about signing him to a big deal was that I think he is an adequate NFL starter that can have success when he has great talent around him, which was not always going to be the case once he got paid. He is not able to elevate the team. I don't want to hear that he doesn't have this or that...his salary makes it impossible to have everything.this has always been our disconnect. lets spin it another way...least Dak isn't the worst $40m QB in football.
however you feel works for me.Man I don't dislike Dak, I think he is a great kid. All that said, is it Dak's fault he got paid? Hell no. That would be the owner
