There is a disturbing trend going on in the D but it is a function of the BBDB Defense of Morris. That being we gave up 11 plays tonight that were over 20 plus yards by the pass while holding the Seattle rushing game to under 85 yards. So in some respects, the D did its BBDB job, it is just not the most fun D to watch and it can be harrowing at times allowing the opposition to stay in the game.

Even with all the Stafford missed passes, the Offense racked-up 476 total yards, 358 by the air and 118 rushing. So in some respects, after a very slow first half start, we righted the ship sufficiently to come away with a decent win and restore the confidences in many areas we have all been discussing on this Rams Board.

Rams Defense has too much talent to be awful, but Morris' BBDB can be hard to watch and will frustrate the hell out of us all with that much talent on the D side of the ball.

Not so much bitching as stating the facts and you could easily make the point (and I kinda supported you on this) that the D is playing within its practiced limits and doing pretty well. There is not much Staley here any more but way more Morris. I offered my preference earlier so it is what it is and we will all have to live with how it plays out.

The only difference I see in the defense between last year and this year is less experience in the secondary. Rochel played good tonight. Got burnt once but that’s ok against Russ Lockett as a rookie. It’s gonna happen. Hopefully D Will is ok
